When I was there, Toyota was just getting their feet wet and their engine sounded off all weekend. Everyone who had Toyota powerplants had massive backfires at various spots around the track. The other cars would pop occasionally, but the Toyotas would BOOM! This was also the year the Penske's sucked, (after winning everything the year before) I may be mixing things up, I believe Jacques Villenueve won the championship that year. (due to his superior Firestone/Bridgestones vs Unser Jr's Goodyears)
Beta v0.18 released on steam. Known issues, no chicane AIW isn't great, AI slow at last corner, I re-did the AIW many times to try and fix it but nothing would work. Ran about 30 laps in the USF2000 - wow! Very good quality, right up there with the best in terms of quality. Seems more like a 0.95 than 0.18

It's a solid start. FPS seems good. If you'd like, I can make a list of noticeable differences (like not all the little curb markers are present in this version and the ambulances usually park down in the dragstrip start). And some trees need changing to evergreens. Love the animation of the MAX train

idt Doug seems energized by dx11. He's updating other CART tracks. Perhaps we can get the Panoz01 or earlier models released again with the dx11 enhancements.
