I think the Steam rating is mostly about the number of downloads than upvotes. I got some of my mods sitting in 4 stars even with over 90 upvotes and about 99% of positive votes. Since the rating is not really connected with your efforts I would just accept that things are not good at the moment for rF2.
I never understood the star rating system on Steam. I couldn't find a way to even rate anything on Steam. Where do you click the stars? I don't think you can. The only thing I can think of is to hit the like button, and the add to favorites button. Anyway, this Porsche and the Cooper you recently released are on my "favorites" list. Fantastic cars. Thank you @mantasisg
I suppose it is some kind of "smart" algorithm then. I am not familiar with it. It could be perhaps taking all kinds of interactions into account. I've read for a minute some posts, it might be that there really is a system of fairness, that is supposed to prevent ratings distortion from your mom, dad, friend and your cat. It probably makes sense in some instances, just perhaps not with rF2 current numbers as Nick has stated.
Love your work! Keep it coming. I think AC is popular because it's easy to drive and looks good. rF2 has the physics. That's what I care about: physics, vintage race cars and racing online against drivers who enjoy each others' company.
