It isn't rF2, it is the modders. Maybe it is more difficult to create mods in rf2 ? I don't know! Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
In your opinion anyway for me "cool street cars and historic cars and American muscle cars." pretty much describes the AC Cobra. one of the top 5 sim cars EVER created.
You would have to ask the modder,I have never played pc. All i can say is that the mod in the workshop looks and drives fantastic.
Downloaded this typical kind of steam worships car mod out of curiosity just to look at the files. Chassis file seems to be same to Howston file. HDV is almost the same too. TGM tires are nearly same too. I imagine it should feel rather similar to driving Howston hahaha It will be ok base for some private physics some day.
Explains why i like it so much, the Howston is one of my favourite cars in the sim. I will have to try them back to back.
I in my infinite ignorance I had fun driving it, I hope in other vintage models because you can no longer modern cars
Unfortunately seems like least important. Apparently guys mainly believe in 3D models that they drive. And that is unfortunate truth.
3d models and era accurate skins heighten the experience, but they don't replace being able to feel the difference between a heavy 5 litre and or a smaller car, toss in front or rear engine location and a little Porsche shouldn't feel like a Howston/Lola. I'd guess most historic fans would prefer both. But I far prefer your's & Woochoo's carsets vs a single howston. After experimenting with AC, I'm a little baffled by the huge difference between the tarmac and the sand/grass runnoffs. rF2 seems too slick and AC too grabby, but that is a track issue, not cars. As I've said elsewhere, I've run the Lola spyder conversion, the 66/67 endurance cars and the 67 gpl 2.0 mod. I would like to perhaps play with the tires, swapping between mods to see if they still perform when on a different car because I can't pinpoint why I like or dislike any particular tire feedback.
Yep. There is extremely talented 3D modeller out there whos cars are graphical masterpieces but unfortunately has no idea about physics. And it seems either nobody is willing to help him or he does not want to be helped. Either way a huge loss for rf2 community. Things like that could never happen in GPL community because everyone is willing to work together. And help eachother. While this guy works alone. I do not need to mention him. We all know who has the best looking 3D graphical representations of the cars but with serious lack of physics.
if anyone wanted to make good physics i would put it in the mod, mainly i made this mod to get experience with IBL shaders, for this i would like to thank S397 for the big leap forward on the car look. the physics is a mixture of the houstow g4, with the tires of dissenter, the engine should be ok.
That would be great, I hope you find someone to team up with because you have huge talent. Thanks for your work.
