Hi, I have a popping problem, and it is that some textures of cars appear and disappear as I get closer or further away from them. I have a rate of 60 fps constant, and I tried with different graphic configurations but the problem persists. Any solution? Thanks.
First thing to try is also to do a steam integrity check, and see if something is messed up with the game files. But if thats all ok then what Peterchen is asking for is needed. Might be mods that dont work properly etc.
Solved. I turned off auto detail fps, and now its right. Thanks anyway. PD: Sorry for my poor inglish xD
Well, you are aware that you have propably too low FPS when the automatic detail fps-function kicked in? I would recommend lower GFX settings.... What are your settings and specs (again) so we can give you advice! Also check fps with CTRL+F If youre under 60 its not good.
My machine is i5 4670, amd msi r9 290, 8 gb ram, and 3 monitors with a total resolution of 5670x1080. I got a good configuration, although on the first lap I have downs as low as 45 fps depending on the car and the circuit (especially if it is ISI or not). But I prefer to have little downturns 1 lap, to go with terrible graphics a whole race ... Right now my setup is as follows: Vsync-On FXAA Off AA x6 Anisotropic x4 Low Circuit Objects Player car details mid Other cars High Texture filter High Mid shadows Shadow blur fast Reflections off Rain drops on Max visible vehicles 14 I have done a lot of testing, and the problem is that depending on the MOD that is used, there are very big differences in performance. For example, with the USF2000 at Silverstone, it's perfect. Instead with the Megane in Mid Ohio (VLM) on the start I go to 45 fps, and until the group is not stretched I can not keep the 60fps.
Well, easy to assume that your card isnt really capable of running 3 screens with rF2..... 1. Turn off Vsync ------> does lag 2. lower AA --------> eating too much. 4x must be enough 3. Set FXAA to ON------> its the more efficient way of AA 4. Set player detail AND opponent detail to low -------> this reduce just the polycount what you wont really see! BUT: Go to Player.JSON open with notepad. Under "Graphic Options":{ there is an entry under opponent detail called "Opponent Texture Override":2, This is the skin-texture on your car. To make it look good set this on 2 or 3 (3 is max) Same for "Player Texture Override". If 3 is too much, set it to 2. Begin with 2 and look if its OK for you (from the visual side) Test and report. P.s.: if with this settings you have more than enough frames (with opponents) then crank up texture override and reflections bit for bit
