Policy on refunds.

You read his post wrong. ISI have said they would like to have a beta period of about 6 months (I bet it will be longer, but no way it is going to be 18 months).

If you truly don't believe that the FPS issues you are getting isn't going to be solved either during the next 18 months or the lifetime of rF2 (depending on which you purchased)

I know this is for refunds, which Im not looking for, but am I reading the post wrong, as your making me feel like the game could be in beta stage for upto 18 months :( I hope not as my clan want to start a league with the game in the near future.
Nothing to do with that. It's to do with the standard version yearly fees.

People who purchased during the beta get the 6mo beta stage 'free' and when the beta ends, they get 12mo, which equals 18mo for the price of 12mo, with the 6mo being their compensation for taking part in the beta. So theoretically they only lose out if rf2 isn't working for them within that period.

You are COMPLETELY out of context with your assumption.

Wait, so not only are you charging money for an alpha/beta product, you're going to charge monthly/yearly like iRacing? Yeah well, I can't say I'm hanging around for that. Your game and iRacing's might be the best ever but I just can't get over the idea of "renting" a game. Good luck with your game, I hope it turns out well.

I think you're a bit misinformed. ;)

Buy the lifetime version and your worries are over. Thanks for the well wishes. :)

You can request one anytime you like as far as I know. However, if people begin buying, refunding, buying, refunding, I'm sure the devs will be annoyed enough to block you purchasing again until after the beta.

If you truly don't believe that the FPS issues you are getting isn't going to be solved either during the next 18 months or the lifetime of rF2 (depending on which you purchased), then you certainly should ask for a refund. ;) But note that if you buy it later, you won't get the extra 6mo on the standard version.

And no I can't confirm whether it's gone through, it doesnt go to me. If you did it through the launcher and it acted like it did it, it probably did it. If you want to confirm, you can contact support@rfactor.net but include your RF order number with your email.

If i read your
[h=3]Refund Policy[/h]
from yesterday, i am not amused

2 month and 18 month are not the same......

if i misunderstood anything, please tell me/us....

Yes, you did misunderstand I think.

I have NO IDEA how you are connecting the new post today with "18 month" whatsoever.

not trolling _
Just to put another spin on this, Live For Speed has been in beta/alpha for years and Rfactor is not dissimilar.
Support and enthusiasm for these projects to develop racing simulation with accurate representation for home use is worthy of my monies.
I honestly feel you should hang in there as optimisation is just around the corner and the community is always available to help with hardware issues as i know its a bit of a minefield finding the best solutions.

awraebest

I prefer yearly fee, it's just like paying 10+ domain names I own every year. It's better and less complicated than monthly fees. I'm planning on supporting rF2 this way (yearly fee) rather than paying the lifetime fee.

I have requested a refund, and I have received an email that it has been processed. I don't have my money back yet, do I have to wait a little longer? I thought since it had been processed, I would receive the money back. Maybe I misunderstood, can anyone confirm please?

I have exactly the same situation. Would love an indication of how long it actually takes to be back in my account...

Depends on your bank, when I've done refunds before they have taken up to 5 working days, sometimes longer. Don't expect it straight away although if it's been more than a few working days then send ISI an e-mail as they'll respond quicker that way than in this thread.

When I transfer money from Paypal, Bank of America shows it in 3-5 business days. It depends on your Bank though, as PP sends it the instant it is processed.

Thank you for the information. Hopefully, no hard feelings about the refund. I'll certainly give the game a try once the demo comes out. By then, the game should be more stabilized. Maybe I'll have a better PC and wheel by then. :D
