Plugins on DX11

Tracks are painted based on AIW waypoint information. There several applications making use of this technique but I don't know of a tutorial explaining how it is done.
 
Y'alright guys long time no see. Just fired up rf2 for first time in a long time and no trackmap. Guessed it auto updated game and dx11 is default now.Sounds like dx11 is not mandatory though.

How do you put it back to dx9? Cheers.

I'm just looking at this betas tab in steam. I'm not opted into to any betas and im on b1109. I can see a beta for 'v1109-dx9' tho I guess it's that? Bit scared to try it in case it eats my playerfile and setups etc heh.

I wouldn't waste too much time on DX9 as it will be deprecated in the next build and you will miss all new features etc. from next build onwards.
 
I see that's useful to know. Think I'll stick with dx9 for now, I've got my stuff setup just the way I like it with trackmap and that's important to me.
I heard trackmap will be converted to dx11 and included in the game itself, not sure if that is correct or not but it would be very good idea indeed if true.
An awful lot of people really love that trackmap plugin.
 
Yeah I messed about with this today. I got a screen setup to my liking, but I got sick of the "give us some money to stop seeing this" in your face every time I went over the Start/Finish line. You should get say 10 minutes before that shit pops up, but no it's every lap.

SS, you may be confusing this one which is a "normal" ingame HUD with Sim HUB (which does give that annoying popup until you donate and get a licence) I reckon ;)

Ahh yeah. I used it as an overlay. I've not used it on mobile device. Does it not pester you on those?

Just to clarify, SHQM_HUD is free, and there are no pop-up messages asking for money.
IT'S NOT A PLUGIN. It's an rfcmp built using rF2 HUD editor, and is only using functions that are available within the game.
I created and packaged this rfcmp when my favorite plugins (trackmap, deltabest, V-HUD) became unusable with DX11. Appreciate that S397 continues to evolve rF2, and appreciate that they added in new functions to the in-game HUD . . . as this helps minimize dependency on plugin solutions.
I put it on steam to share it with others . . . a sincere gesture of giving-back to recognize those that have shared their work so we can enjoy sim racing
