BUG: Player detail doesn't have any effect in cockpit view FPS performance. I would say viaully either.

Steam Build ID: All in between B1098 and latest beta 1832786

    Graphics Settings: Fullscreen 1280x720; 60Hz AA1; Sync:Off ;
    Circ: HIGH Play:LOW-FULL Oppo:MEDIUM TeDe:FULL TeFi:x2 SpEf:LOW
    Shad:LOW ShBl:Fast Soft:OFF Rain:YES Road:OFF Envi:OFF
    FOV:38 VisV:10 AudN:20

General Description: I get the same fps in cockpit view regardless the "player detail" setting being used. I don't find graphical differences either except for the wheel itself. Just an overall tone or light change for the rest.

    Steps to Reproduce:

Step 1: Select low for player opponent in display options before loading the track. For more consistent results use no opponents

Step 2: After the track is loaded benchamrk a full lap starting and ending in FL.

Step 3: Exit the track and select full for player detail in display options

Step 4: After the track is loaded benchamrk a full lap starting and ending in FL.

Step 5: Open the log and compare benchmarks. Both settings show the same performance in my case

    Step 6:

Additional Information: The problem has been reproduced using three different cars (2 of them S397 -DX11 updated ) in two different circuits and with 2 different builds (B1098 and latest DX11 0pen beta)

I posted this in the discord channel and @Christopher Elliott suggested to post it here in the forum.
I have seen that even with reflections OFF and lowest player detail, you do get reflections!!!
The easiest way to notice it is using hood view. The reflected image is updated every 5 seconds or so.
In any case I would expect no reflections at all if it is proven that they are hurting performance.

I have also tested fps differences with the 3 driving views (cockpit, hood and road). As you can check in the attached becnhmark, player detail has no clear effect in any of the 3 views. In two cases it is even having opposite effect!!

Considering the fps difference between completely removing car from scene (road view) and rendering it (cockpit, vew) which is around 15%, one would expect player detail having more influence.

Now let's finally focus on the difference between hood and road view which is around 5%. How is it possible that rendering a simple hood causes 5% fps difference? I have checked that for low settings, the hood is around 300K and for max settings around 1.5 MB.
From my track modding experience, a 300KB size GMT should be insignificant in terms of hurting performance... Unless its reflections are provoking a much heavier impact than the object itself.

So if my theory is right, a low player detail where no reflections at all were being rendered should significantly increase fps performance up to fps values close to road view ones.
