Given the amount of traffic here about screen resolutions, video cards etc, I thought some of you might find this interesting: http://www.techspot.com/news/69516-...logy-can-improve-display-resolutions-200.html Essentially, researchers at the University of Central Florida reckon the resolution of any standard LCD screen can be tripled with just a firmware upgrade. Even if true, it wouldn't be much of a business plan for screen manufacturers so I won't hold my breath. Mind you, I suppose they could make 1080 screens with different firmware and market them as 6K screens ... at three times the price!
