Report by Andy... Unfortunately yesterday some racers have been missing from the last race on Oran Park. Well, this gave me more opportunity to secure a place on the podium. thanks! The training went well and the times have been faster and faster with the construction of rubber on the track. Rich Goodwin won with a top time of 1:02.449 the pole position. I drove on the 2nd place and Clyde Whiting led in the second start row. OK! the Traffic light went on green and I got away well to the leadership into the first turn to take over. Now, was I the hunted! After a few rounds I made my first driving fault and Richard Goodwin could pull over. arrrggh!!! Also Rich Goodwin wanted a couple laps later testing the grip level on the countryside and I was able to take over again the lead. I think Scott Styler was able to catch up and employed Richard Goodwin quite a while, so that I was able a small lead to take out. In the last ten rounds Rich took away my lead. The performance of my racecar was totally at the end. (my team has to work better on the setup - it does not work this way!). The last two rounds were a nightmare. Richard hang on my bumper. I think he tried all possibilities in order to overtake. I only was able to counter, during staying on the battle line and the cold sweat still remains on my forehead today. I will remember this race for a long time. See you on Snetterton 300... thanks for racing.
For all Renault Clio Cup enthusiasts! Saturday 08/11/2014 Hockenheim Short2. Oh Yeahhh! Look them pure and they will have great fun...
