Physics and tire models of racing sims

    Did some wet racing at Putnam with the meganes last nite...... awesome.... the feel in the rain is bang on probably o lot more so than pcars!!

    one question do you have to cool the tyres down when the wet compound gets too hot to stop blistering?

    I've never felt the need to having done a fair chunk of wet racing

    ah ok..

    it would be nice if ISI dedicated a upgrade to fixing the wet side of things in RF". Like blistering, rain effects etc etc..

    I think this is the only sim that can compete with pcars wet weather aspect (not entirely about realism) as a whole.

    There is a wet track specific cooling parameter that should allow for the cooling of tyres that might be overheating (not blistering), but this is a fairly recent addition so many mods won't have it.
