Had a quick go to test these out, and had some fantastic fun at Phillip Island with the 2006 version. Love the way these drive and handle. Really nice work. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this car Slow Motion. Very funny to drive. We are seriously considering using it in our next championship. Would it be possible to have the car template to create personalized skins? I just found tyre wear a bit excessive but I was using default setup. Who knows... Here is a vid at The Shojo
I'll add the template to the first post. About tire wear, it depends of the compound you use... I tuned performances vs wear for soft and hard compounds... soft tires last 25 minutes but performances increase 1.5% vs hard (obviously it depends of the track and driving style)...
A new version will come soon with few enhancements: - fixed material for driver's gloves (wcextra9 + wcextra10) - increased the range of the seat vertical position - few changes to the garage/pit settings for a better MP experience - improved 3d of dashboard and look of digital gauges (font/resolution) - increased the sw range, now 15-30 degrees - reverted to the original TMTires roadroll sound - improved the looks of the rims in full sun - added "DisplayClassOverride=" to the mod for a better identification into the CCH and XML files - 2 different upgrades.ini for Tarmac and Gravel classes, due to different options/settings
After long time I'm now working on the update to DX11 of this mod, both tarmac and gravel. I have also updated the physics, because it was obsolete and now I can count on the online web tool of Chris "reapg" for flex chassis, tire resize, steering wheel... Due to the limitation of rFactor2 for gravel tracks, do not expect a rally cross series for the gravel one. On the contrary the tarmac series behaves much better than original older build. Available very soon, thank you. (and now... only one mod of mine still needs to be updated to DX11: Fiat Abarth 500/695...)
Not the same of the spreadsheet of MB, but easier, starting from a rF1 basis. Once files are generated, it is possible to work on them, improving physics, adding specific lines, etc... Chris made and is still improving a great series of tools, no doubts! What should be fantastic to have... a tire generator by scratch, but it is only a dream at the moment, because we haven't a serious deep knowledge of the MB tire spreadsheet also due to the fact of the tire spreadsheet is continuously improved. But the tire resize tool, carefully selecting an original CMP tire not too much different from the target, generates a very good tire as well. OT, sorry!
