This track is just awesome. Thank you really much. Nice to see you are working on the 24h Layout. Once this is ready this will be the track all the endurance-people will drive. So good luck with that.
I would totally drive the hell out of the 24h layout as beautiful and neatly done as the new Bugatti version!
Thank you Ecar ! The list of improvements is huge. I'm really looking forward to drive this new version with 917k [emoji41]. I'm very happy that you continou your outstanding work on this and what I read on other tracks [emoji106]. A big THANK YOU again from my side. Greets Alex
Can't believe how big the list of changes is! Fantastic balance between detail and framerate. The night atmosphere, with the distant lights, is unequaled. I noticed shadows flashing in the minor grandstands as you go up the hill by the chicane in daylight. I'm guessing this is the same problem as the shadows racing along guardrails at other tracks, so it can't be solved?
Hello ECAR The straight after the finish line just before the first (dunlop chicane) T1 still is way to bumpy for the natural and real way that it is in real life!!! and then the next right corner is still way to bumpy spectially on that mid corner big bump just before starting to go up hill!!! :S and some kerbs are pointing in the wrong direction! Please understand... i don't want to be an ass and always complain but if you really want to do it right you must change it!! Has you can see it in this video... the car goes much more smooth on the part leading up to the T1 and on the next turn on the right... no mid corner stupid bump like exist on your track!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KXAZboJ17M
Thank you very much guys. Kind words. I'm struggling on how to put it in Steam Workshop, I've only the rF2 regular desktop version installed so I don't know if it's possible to upload content there? Emery, I notice those shadow issues but I didn't put much effort on killing it, I'll study the problem to v1.0. Concerning to 24h La Sarthe circuit, I've been sharing some thoughts with Bjørn on this regard in PMs. I've started already to model the full circuit loop. To be honest, the only Le Mans 24h version which makes me "fell there" (despite I actually never have lol) is the pCars version. I know pCars has a superior quality graphics but what they did on lights coming across the long lines of trees, the buildings and the general environment is stunning and can be emulated, with some minor limitations, in our rF2 graphics engine. In my calculations, La Sarthe will require 26 new buildings aside those I've already modelled and many kilometers of track fine tuning (camber, elevations, road stripes, etc). It's a colossal work but can be done. The problem is my main job don't left me so many hours to work on 24h track which is a severe limitation. I might find some way to monetize this job but I can't figure out something that really be "work-payer" on this behalf. We are a small community and there's few guys up to buy something that you can get for free just sharing a file. I can always to recycle the infinite beer cans I drank during track creation but still... In any cases the job is under way, and since Mr. Thor asked here's a shortcut if any of you guys want pay me a beer for now . Click to donate>> PayPal
Nope, rF2 steam version is needed...But you can keep your desktop version for offline, if you move your license to steam.
