    Hi,
In modern series (GT3/GTE/GT2/F1) with paddle shifting, should auto clutch be enabled or disabled? Do those paddle shifted cars engine stall if in gear and not moving?

A side question, in general is there a gearbox difference between floor mounted shifted cars, like BTCC/WTCC and paddle shifted cars. For floor mounted shifter cars, I usually disable auto clutch, and it is pretty fun because you get engine stall if you do not press clutch while off track or standing, but how is it in reality?

I suspect it is different between series and even cars, but still interested to hear what people have to say. To scope the discussion, let's focus only on modern series.

    Cheers! :)

touring cars, mostly rally cars, sometimes drift cars, they all use sequential manual gearbox, that means they have dogclutches instead synchronizers, they do have clutch pedal, but only need to use it to not stall the engine, thus in low rpm (when standing and for accelerating from standing), for shifting they don't need to use clutch at all, thanks to dogclutches, that's why they shift so fast, and that's what's causing that transmission flex effect (when shifting or changing acceleration, rpms "shakes"), modern f1 use dual clutch semi-auto transmission, so they don't even have clutch pedal, because they have 2 clutches (each with its own gearbox) controlled by a computer

Thanks! What about paddle shift vs floor mounted, it does not matter since it is just different ways of shifting, right? Manual sequential gearbox in both cases would require clutch to avoid stall, correct?

Unless you have anti-stall installed (like F1 does) which is basically a computer waiting for your RPM to drop to stall dangerous RPM and disengages clutch automatically
