Hi! I install some items from workshop, and found that downloaded packages saved on steamlibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\365960. Why after instalation they don't delete automatically and I can not delete it myself? (I try to do it and killed all installed content). For me Workshop content should not occupy twice the disk space.

    That's just how it works.

A solution, of sorts, is to have a large and inexpensive HDD (if you don't already have the game on one) and use mklink to 'move' that folder to the big drive. Then you can run the game itself from a fast HDD/SSD and those files that never get used are sitting on the cheap drive.

Thanks for answers, but its partial solutution ( I understand that this is the features of steam, and there is no more comprehensive solution - to install and then delete the archives atomically, while leaving the ability to download and install the content as it is updated. It's a pity
