My limited thoughts https://forum.studio-397.com/index....nk-studio-397-know-what-they-are-doing.60065/
I had to do a search for "pubg" to know what it is. So, I guess I'm not the best one to make a comment. Wait. What?
I don't know what pugb is and don't really care. If the op wants the simracing version of pubz he only needs to join the sheeples on Forza or GT but that is only after he pledges allegiance to his chosen console army.
Rf3 would only be what s397 are working to accomplish with rf2 at goals end. Not many dev teams actually start from scratch with the sequels, there’s always some or a majority of code carried over So even if they did scrap rf2 and work on rf3,people would still complain they are paying for basically rf2.2.0
Forza 7 was just Forza 6 with a new UI and some cars and a couple of new "features" = £60, PC2 is PC1 with new UI, tyre model & livetrack and a few other new features =£50 rFactor2 + new UI, some new cars and some new features = free updates (even for the ungrateful ones amongst us)
It's another online shooter that's sold 30 million copies. I've never played it but earlier in the year they were banning 1 million players at a time. Sounds like alot of drama going on there, glad I skipped it.
I dont think so, they try to keep things compatible with previous content, that limits a lot of things you can do and ways you can do these things, forces you to spend more time on finding these ways. A new game would make them free to rework whatever they wanted worrying a lot less, they could use the CryEngine V "pay what you want" for example. While it's possible to make it with current game this has a cost and the most stable way to cover it is a new game.
A new game would take a lot longer to make than fleshing out the former, that’s why so many games are done this way. Recreating all the content is a huge task on a unknown engine, people moan they can’t run rf2 now,lol they wo And if you compare steam charts of Pubg to arma or squad which is simulated war,the numbers are drastically different because the demograph of the player base is different
It's almost like saying "why isn't my favourite Vegetarian Progressive Grindcore band more popular than Bieber" Becuase one is niche, one caters to the masses.
Oh now teenage girls are the masses , not even in Latvia. Bieber sells twice the tickets because underage cant go unattended. ... After all the development and effort with rf2 its funny asking for v3, what it is supposed to achieve will rf3 have 1 million users in "pubg"? All the mods u r playing now will be broken and will need to be reworked.
NotrF3 Regarding PUBG and the question of quality vs. quantitiy: who ever calls that game high quality either hasn't played it since the beginning or hasn't given any attention on their game improvements and I sometimes wonder how a game with such a high return can have such a bad quality control. Another interesting point regarding PUBG is that it is a real performance killer, so concerning the use of UE4 for future sim titles I don't see rF2 as the last one with big performance issues and especialy people with performance issues in rF2 might run into bigger trouble with UE4 based games. In that regard I tip my head to most of the small dev studios breaching the boundaries with what they have at hand.
In case its not that obvious i m kidding, although some dads going with their young daughters in certain concerts is reality.
