EDIT: i found this info on the web
You really should put a work warning on that...because that's 100% pure car porn. ;-)
Great one! Nice to see he has to fight, to keep the rear in place under breaking.
WOW, this makes me really happy to watch You can see him fighting the wheel quite a bit... struggling with grip under braking. This makes me want to fire up rF2 and the EVE or Spark F1 right now!
When I first saw the post title I thought the 49 was onboard in rf2
Great video though... I love the 49... cheers Mauro.
One thing I really miss with rF2 is the whining wind sound when reaching really high speeds.
That is cool!
This video should be posted in F2chump's thread 'Lotus 49 gripfest' something
Looks lot easier than what it is with Grand Prix Legends!
I was just thinking a similar thing KeiKei... mind you, I`ve not driven good old Gpl in sooo long...
in the video Rossi used only 4 gears.
I really wanted this car in rFactor 2. ISI will release it?
Good observation Mauro!
He is driving only on half throttle...
So - nothing spectacular
Me neither but I will never forget how difficult that Lotus 49 was to drive back then. It was insane really! Would be interesting to test it and maybe check how much input lag were back then but maybe I just should leave it be and let it have the respectful death it deserves.
Have to raise hat for Mr Rossi - I would never have guts to drive that beast on 4th gear. Maybe 3rd gear would be absolute maximum on some salt desert.
HALF THROTTLE!? that is terrifying. Awesome, too.
i hear rf2's tyre sounds
Awesome video, we really need this track in rF2.
nice graphics in the vid, does that mod use custom shaders or something?
Wow what an awesome video!
While Lotus 49 in Gpl was definitely hard to drive (weren't they all? ) I don't remember it being harder than in this vid. This video kinda throws a wrench in the "harder doesn't equal realistic" argument doesn't it? At least for the historic cars.
Actually GPL hasn't straight-lined yet. There is at least one league (Mybroga) still running it with a very devoted group of drivers. As a lover of the historics, man how I wish that avid group would transition to rF2!
Wouldn't that be sweet? I'd expand that question to also ask if there are plans for a BT24 to compete with the Spark and Eve? (I believe ISI has a license from Brabham.)
Would be really nice to have more cars to compete with each other!
That's what rF2 is really missing... Different brands and teams to compete with each other! Brabham is an amazing car, but it has no equal to compete with except other Brabhams. The EVE and Spark is too fast. Of course it's fun to compete against other drivers but to me the 'constructors championship' has always been almost as interesting.
We only have Brabhams vs Brabhams, Clios vs Clios, Meganes vs Meganes, Nissans vs Nissans, Corvette vs Corvette, Marussia vs Marussia etc etc etc etc.
Separate names with a comma.
