WOW, this makes me really happy to watch You can see him fighting the wheel quite a bit... struggling with grip under braking. This makes me want to fire up rF2 and the EVE or Spark F1 right now!
Damn! When I first saw the post title I thought the 49 was onboard in rf2 Great video though... I love the 49... cheers Mauro.
Me neither but I will never forget how difficult that Lotus 49 was to drive back then. It was insane really! Would be interesting to test it and maybe check how much input lag were back then but maybe I just should leave it be and let it have the respectful death it deserves. Have to raise hat for Mr Rossi - I would never have guts to drive that beast on 4th gear. Maybe 3rd gear would be absolute maximum on some salt desert.
Wow what an awesome video! thumbs up While Lotus 49 in Gpl was definitely hard to drive (weren't they all? ) I don't remember it being harder than in this vid. This video kinda throws a wrench in the "harder doesn't equal realistic" argument doesn't it? At least for the historic cars. Actually GPL hasn't straight-lined yet. There is at least one league (Mybroga) still running it with a very devoted group of drivers. As a lover of the historics, man how I wish that avid group would transition to rF2! Wouldn't that be sweet? I'd expand that question to also ask if there are plans for a BT24 to compete with the Spark and Eve? (I believe ISI has a license from Brabham.) Tim?
Would be really nice to have more cars to compete with each other! That's what rF2 is really missing... Different brands and teams to compete with each other! Brabham is an amazing car, but it has no equal to compete with except other Brabhams. The EVE and Spark is too fast. Of course it's fun to compete against other drivers but to me the 'constructors championship' has always been almost as interesting. We only have Brabhams vs Brabhams, Clios vs Clios, Meganes vs Meganes, Nissans vs Nissans, Corvette vs Corvette, Marussia vs Marussia etc etc etc etc.
