    Great improvement. As you read into the first post we have few points to be developed (like the reflections where I only added lines but no info on objects quote etc...) and at the moment Alessio is not available. About the sat image and the mountains for the landscape I know they respected the real distances but I see a very good improvement also if it is only a picture.

    Thank you Tosch and in case we could talk together a little bit in detail.

    Yes Sir!
    We'll see if we can improve the track. I spoke to Alessio and he said that in the future when he will find time to switch his PC on...
    About the texture, I have to add that we discussed months ago with Mr. Palatov and ORW owners which kind of look we had to choose for the terrain, due to the particular location and different chances during the year and the choice was to have it "green". It seems to happen at ORP (real location) only for a limited period.
    Maybe the worse effect of the green hills is mainly due to the fact that something "masks" the elevations: I'd like to know the opinion of Tosch on this specific point.

    I think a mix, green and brown, would fit best for the track. Maybe a bit vertex color for the hill sides (fake ambient occlusion) to give the terrain some kind of 3d effect. The track has 4 layouts, so you can have a different look for each layout.
    What really puzzles me atm is that I can't get any wet reflections on the road. It's not very important for the track, but everything is set correctly and it should work.

    There are basalt rock outcrops dotting the area and would break up the green & brown, providing some definition to the hills.

    It would be awesome if 3D grass like in Stock Car Extreme was possible.

    Unbelievable but true.
    I've never had such a problem before or heard about it.

    After some tests, to figure out what the reason for the missing reflections on the ORP track is, i finally found it.

    It was a comment, written after the reflection entry and "uncommented" with the //.

    Here is the original entry, which caused the problem:

    ReflectionMapper=REFMAP0 //Real-time dynamic reflections (cars)

    And here is what made the reflections work:

    ReflectionMapper=REFMAP0

    Really strange.

    For some reason I have working environment reflections in 3dSimEd but not in devmod (or ingame). Could it be the road mesh? No problems with REFMAP0 and the static reflection mapper.

    One after another. :)

    I have some other things to do, but will investigate that as next, in the next time.

    Here is a screenshot that shows "all" reflections working into the original file, only deleting the sentence "//Real-time dynamic reflections (cars)", bah...

    I guess, a blank would be enough...?

    Now it works! The scn file looks the same as in my post above. I only deleted a (invisible) "tab" behind "ReflectionMapper=REFLECTEDENV". :mad: :p :D

    Can you please detail it better? Because I thought to a similar issue BUT I opened the file into Notepad++ just to look at it and I didn't find it.
    Thank you

    Here is the original scn. Delete everything (even empty spaces) behind "ReflectionMapper=REFLECTEDENV" and "ReflectionMapper=REFMAP0" .

    Found the issue for reflections and thanks to several advice and samples of Tosch, we are going ahead in the development of a new beta. Still in discussion the overall look of the terrain and waiting for request by ORP owners, in the meantime I've modified several shader values for a better look...
