Lots of updates. Version 0.40 * Added a huge outer terrain, 6 km radius. * Added hundreds of trees and treewalls to the horizon * Updated the SPEC map for the inner and outer terrain. * Added new buildings to the pits area and outer spectator area (toilet blocks etc) Future Updates; * Fine tune images and tree placements * Add more buildings and correct ground around them * Add new terrain and gravel around grand stands and control tower. * Map the pit area roads as best I can Issues: * Long loading time due to map / mesh size of terrain * Some road stripes missing.....I know * AI is good with slower cars like the Formula Vee, faster cars have some confusion at times (Porsche) * AI sometimes crash on pit entrance at end of race. Oran Park V0.25 * This is a conversion of the original rFactor track, made in 2008 * All objects and most textures are used except for those that RF2 require. * This is an initial conversion, and there is still a LOT of work to do. * AIW file will need work. Th garages etc are correct, but the race line etc need updating. FUTURE UPDATES * The next lot of updates will include an extended terrain area * Parts of the track will be replaced by updated LIDAR mesh * Pit area and building will be overhauled. * Control Tower overhauled. * Kart Center will work in future versions as will the other 2 versions, the South Circuit, and the North Circuit Due to my wife having a serious illness, I will do as much as time allows. Mike Cantwell www.mikestrackbuilding.com Hey everyone, long time no post.... I have been lying low for a while with personal issues....my darling wife was diagnosed with cancer last year. We went though that first battle and in February this year was diagnosed again with cancer in her lymph nodes and lungs.....so I lost all interest in things as you can imagine. About 2 years ago I started chasing up getting permission to convert the original Oran Park track made for RF1 by Brendon Pywell, Brendan Elliott and Chris Larmour. I finally got the green light and Brendan Elliott and Chris Larmour have been so helpful. They even had all the original files (2+ GB worth) and I have those. I know another version of Oran Park has been done...this is not about competing etc, just another choice we have. I have already had criticism over this... Anyway, it is basically an easy conversion, but all the textures for the road and grass have to be changed and the original textures darkened etc so they do not bloom. Here are some WIP photos....

Hey everyone. First of all thank you for your thoughts and well wishes. Here is a bit of an update on the Kart Center. I am leaving it at that for the time being as the pits are the next area that need a good going over. These are the latest shots and the last 2 show the old RF1 version.
Here are shot shots from above, game and Google Earth There is a lot of differences but the scan and LIDAR information they used will help do the pit are quite fast. I will add a few buildings and there are 4 toilet block missing, the most obvious one is part of the control tower building. Another update next weekend...
Hey everyone. Going pretty well with the track conversion. I also hit a home run with getting Laser Scan data for Lakeside, QR and half of Oran Park....the bits I need. Here is a update on the track. Lots of work to be done with textures blooming etc, but 90% done. All that is really left is the lighting system, start, stop etc. Sorry for the crap quality....used W10 recorder instead of OBS.
I seem to remember an older version, most likely GTR2 where the track when left after the bridge. Could be old age mucking things up. Keep up the excellent work!
