    Dear community,

I am new here and I need a little bit support for creating an optimal configuration for a new Gaming PC to use RF2.

I want drive with fully details and in full resolution.
Which components should the PC have?

    Many thanks in advance!

    How many screens? Or VR?

Easy answer is "The fastest you can get."

    As an addon to Lazza's comments I'd say it depends on your budget;
CPU - first thing I'd do is select a CPU from as high on this list https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html as your budget will allow.
Motherboard - dependent on CPU selection eg, if you selected the top one on the chart, then you'd need a Gen 10 motherboard.
GPU - dependent of what MB you select, once again get the best you can within your budget. (if VR'ing I'd suggest a 1080Ti as a minimum)
RAM - get a minimum of 16GB.... the more the merrier I say.
Storage - I personally like and use SSD's, a separate one for operating system and one for all of my games.
Power - Once again, pretty much dependent on what you select above.

If you have a pretty big budget, and the time to wait, allegedly this year will see the release of the 3xxx series of GPU cards which from some leaked stuff I've seen on the web (so it's gotta be true :D) says that they will be PCIe 4.0 capable, which in theory should allow rF2 to perform better than PCIe 3.0 motherboards.

    I have GTX 1080 slightly OC, i7 9700K @4.9 Ghz, SSD, good MB, 16 Go DDR4 @4000Mhz.

If you play full HD with this, you will have in the worst of the worst circomstances 45 FPS minimum (not average) with rain + mostly cloudy + 24H night cycle + 60 AI + the worst track performance (Nurburgring combined), with these settings (99% of the time 60 FPS with vsync) :

    1) nvidia control panel
Maximum quality (texture high quality, no filtering optimisation, lod negative bias on clamp), vsync activated.

    2) config.ini rF2

AA = 5, Post process ultra, full screen.

    3) ingame settings

Visible opponent 9, auto FPS detail off, FOV 50, all in max exept :
    - rain in high NOT ultra (important)
    - shadow blur in optimal
    - opponent detail medium

    THEN IN VR

    THE HELL, THE HELL.

Ultra frustrating, strongly suggest a 2080 TI or the future RTX 30XX, even with a low resolution Rift S.

IF YOU PLAY WITH FULL HD AND ONE SCREEN AND 60 hz, my advice by experience is to buy a 1080 TI or equivalent.

More for 75 hz and strongly more for better resolution.

    Liebe Leute,

    Das Budget beträgt 1.500 EUR.

I would start from a 144hz monitor and back up to the CPU. The monitor dictate the Gpu (G-sync/ freesync) the gpu dictate Mobo (PCI-e bus) then put the fastest CPU money can buy. Sprinkle 16gb of fast ram , and serve on a 500GB SSD .

For 650 euros, I got a very good deal :

    i7 4770K + GTX 1080 + well-cooled tower +16 GB DDR3. To which I added an SSD for 50 euros.

However DDR3 is insufficient on rF2 if you want to play with a lot of AI.

Basically, you can probably find the equivalent for less than 800 euros used.

Dear all many thanks for your answers.

The plan is to play on a 4K Panasonic LED TV.

I think about the hardware components as follows:

CPU: Intel I7 9700 or AMD Ryzen 3700X

GPU: Palit RTX2070 Super GamingPro - PCI - 8.192 MB

RAM: 16GB 3.600 MHZ or ("Intel") 3.000 MHZ

Board: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PLUS ATX ("Intel") or ASUS PRIME B550M-A Motherboard

    SSD: Kingston KC2000 - 500 GB - M.2 - 3000 MB/s

Do you think with this configuration it is possible to play in 4K with 60 FPS ?

    Many thanks in advance !

I am sensitive to image quality (texture filtering, texture details, LOD, AA, resolution).

Deactivate antialiasing gamma in Nvidia 3d settings.
    Set full RGB.

For better quality and/or for better performance?

Is it better to activate fast sync in Nvidia settings and deactivate vsync in rF2 settings?

For 4K gaming GPU will nearly always be the bottleneck, so the CPU then becomes a bit less important. Intel with its higher single threaded performance will still be slightly more future proof, but not a huge deal. CPU usually only becomes the limiting factor when your target is closer to 100 FPS. RTX 2070 Super is ok, but I see two potential things you might want to consider. 8 GB VRAM is probably enough for now, but not much margins left when playing in 4K, 11 GB would be better. The other point is that Nvidia is soon about to release RTX 3000 series, which comes with more VRAM and about 1.5 times more performance, so one option is to wait for that.

GPU: Palit RTX2070 Super GamingPro - PCI - 8.192 MB

RAM: 16 GB 3.600 MHz oder ("Intel") 3.000 MHz

Karte: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PLUS ATX ("Intel") oder ASUS PRIME B550M-A Motherboard

    SSD: Kingston KC2000 - 500 GB - M.2 - 3000 MB / s

Denken Sie, dass es mit dieser Fähigkeit möglich ist, in 4K mit 60 FPS zu spielen?

    What are our opinions?

Many thanks in advance! [/ QUOTE]
