Indeed, I have been doing lot of test with new tire model and even I have some kind of idea now what every bit affects to which, it still takes time to really learn and especially to find out scientific methods to get some parameters. It is no trouble to get car behave certain way, I have even managed to match feel and performance, but still there are always something off in some situations, for example G forces when sliding might be too high even everything else is right, or too much grip at braking and everything else matches, so there are still some aspects that require more studying. Sometimes days have just too few hours
Hey guys. Today we're showing model progress on the 1991 Porsche 962C which got the most votes in our vote thread we had up previously. Modeled by Dmitriy Barishev the Porsche 962C model has been progressing quite well. The interior is yet to be modeled but the exterior is shaping up. We thought we'd share some progress shots of it. Enjoy!
The Porsche 962C has been progressing very well. Exterior is now completed and we're moving onto the interior. Enjoy the previews!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1987_24_Hours_of_Le_Mans http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_24_Hours_of_Le_Mans i could be wrong for a reason i just don't see, but i think the 3.0l is from 1987 and the 3.2l is from from 1991. but you can use it anyway if you want. its your mod after all.
A little bit off-topic but still Porsche 962 related: http://vimeo.com/50473835 It's a piece of art on wheels.
perhaps this helps in interior work though its from 3.2L Wynn's car. there is a very high res photo too. http://digitaldtour.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/dsc_0241.jpg
Thanks for the photos nikos. Yes I've seen that some teams used the 3.2l and others the 3.0l so we'll make engines accordingly to fit each team and what they used.
