My opinion as of now here at Mak Corp Forums: http://forum.mak-corp.com.au/showthread.php?828-Feedback-Bug-Reports-and-Suggestions&p=7911#post7911 The FFB needs some retouches since at high speeds curves you need to turn the wheel too much to my taste (G27) and it feels a little bit "loose". Yet the FFB is great at least in old Spa, you can feel everything...but the weight of the car not so much. The sound now at idle is great but the low/mid rev sound and gearbox change noise is gone, but at higher revs sounds dramatic as it should...like now the samples are way too short and it goes from a realistic idle sound to a dramatic rotary engine in less than a second. The car is great though...how not to love that beast!
sounds are very different in 0.2, seems to be a point during shifting gears where the sound stops momentarily also, i just cannot get the front tyre temps up!! if i spin they shoot up to 170 degrees, but otherwise they stay at 30-40deg, fast turns, under braking, everything. the rears meanwhile are up at 80-90 using stock set up, at bahrain 0.8v
I cant login any more to MaK Corp It wont accept my password and it wont even let me reset it now. Think I will wait till it surpasses the 500 mark, I might have better luck then
On the plus side, I really like the interiors. A nice surprise to see a beta with such good cockpits so early on
Ok... v0.2 works ok as far as the cars in the spinner is concerned and out on track etc. Looks, sounds good. However, I usually use fraps for my screens and have the F8 button mapped to take the shots... when I took one just now it froze rf2 and I had to reboot to get back to Windows... Also, has anybody else noticed the camera views when in free look seem to be altered in someway? I don`t seem to be able to go down as much as I could before without going "through" the track surface... (Maybe nothing to do with the mod but thought I`d say as I only noticed it since installing it) Unfortunately I`ve no time to drive yet so can`t comment on the physics etc but will later.
Hi Foxiol, thanks for the attentive feedback so far, really appreciated. We had a technical issue which meant the older sounds have had to be removed for the time being, the new sounds are sadly inferior but they are fine for us to use. This will be a temporary measure because we intend the updates to come swiftly. Notes have been taken and we will hang for a week or so and see if there are any other immediate issues that need sorting out, and the next update for the 787B will have better sound as well as other fixes etc. In the meantime I hope everyon enjoys the car.
