Open Beta This Week?

So waiting for rFactor 2 should be better than rFactor 2?

open beta still ? i think GTR 3 is out before rfactor 2 and if it is better then GTr2 i problably lay my money on GTR 3 then rfactor 2 or what the heck i buy both when they are out

 

An Announcement of GTR3 will be later this month.

I see no Beta happening with GTR3 at the moment. RFactor2 seems to have the jump.

lots of media stuff coming from them I suspect.

Can I spam this .. Just a Series of Events I am creating. BMW 1 Events staring the first week of January..

For sim racers, 2012 and beyond is going to be awesome! Just hoping RF2 is way ahead of the rest

 

1 licensed 1966 F1 car, with generic fillers.
3 tracks: Spa, Monaco, and another.

Renault Megane, Formula Renault 3.5
3 tracks (most likely), Malaysia, Portugal, Mills.

Obviously, decisions could change this, and the unannounced track and car will be announced most likely together. Although there is a nice teaser inserted into the forum header now.

Very nice.
I'm surprised so much of the track content is classic though. But people seem to love that, so I understand.
I'd love to have a real car in the mix. The Megane is more of a silhouette racer.

These are just the content packages chosen for the beta. It's not really representative of what rF2 will eventually bring you.

 

Well, that's a pleasant surprise... unless I missed something else, I was only expecting 3 cars and 3 tracks total. Also wasn't sure the "60s F1" would be licensed or generic - so good to see there's a licensed one in there.

Given the life the Meganes have had on public servers they might keep people busy by themselves...

 

Will we be able to race 1966 F1 car in Malaysia (Portugal, Mills) or Renault Megane in historic Spa, Monaco? Or cars will only have access to tracks form their package?

 

I believe these are two alternative options they consider, so seems more like 2 cars and 3 tracks.

 

(Probable) open beta content looks pretty good to me. And I did notice the forum header, looks nice.

 

Definitely nice details

 

First header picture: first couple of 10 meters from car, shadow of traveling clouds darkened the terrain nicely and the rest of visible terrain illuminated by sunlight. Is that correct?

 

Looks more like a photoshop gradient then anything else.
It´s the same on the second header.

I think he means on the left of the pic its darker terrain, but on the right in the distance its brighter. I would say that's definitely a shadow from the clouds.
