Hi All , First post and i need help.. apart from the fact i have a G29 haha ! I am on multiplayer and i try and join many servers and i get an error of " package not available " any help would be good ... for an old newbie thanks in advance
If they have a website in their name, you can go there and see what they're running. Most leagues are using their own stuff, and are probably disabling auto-download.
Thanks for the reply, so I can only join if they share or are open for new drivers ? Seems like a closed network for multiplayer game
Hi Nipperdog! Try to check what mods the server you trying to join are using. Then go to Steam Workshop and download it.
Nipper, As pointed out, the servers you are trying to join may be open but not allowing auto-download meaning that you may not be able to find the content they are running or the mod. Since you are a newbie here is a quick run-down of RF2 online; Online pickup racing is mostly non-existant. -You can't join locked servers for obvious reasons. -Outside of leagues it is mostly impossible to do pickup racing in RF2 -Open server with more than 10 players are most likely populated by AI (you can check this by viewing server info in steam...If all players have been around for the same amount of time they are AI). -If you find open server with human players you will likely be stuck in an endless practise... -There are a few weekly races that are open that you can jump in...these occur once a week and racing can be very good. For these reasons, if you are not in a league, offline is your best bet at racing.
