Costs for official laser scanned track development can be significant thus are charged for by others such as iracing/AC

Same as MarcG said. However if we end up having an few options of laser scanned tracks I think variable prices is the way to go. Laser scanning some small, club track with very happy to help management of the track it will be much less costly and time consuming than going for a full laser scanning of Spa where you have events going on almost all the time. So paying 15$ here and 15$ is not the way to go. My 2 cents.

I do like the elevation changes that the accuracy of laser scanning brings, but I've been pleasantly supriaed coming from iracing to rf2,and since that move I haven't bought another track in iracing,as I think a really well done non laser track,is on par.
But if s397 want to go that route, then I'm not against it,as long as they make a decent enough mark up,to help fund development of the other aspects of the sim

a good non laser track is fine but sometimes I wonder if working from a laser scan is actually less trouble
(after the scan has been done & cost of that covered) because it shows 100% track widths / cambers / bumps / corner angles etc

Its only money guys! Give it to the people creating this beautiful hobby!!!

This is the cheapest and least time consuming hobby I have ever been involved in. If I got ten minutes I can jump in a car and do a single lap race on the Nordschleife in Germany on a rainy night in the middle of summer any time of the year. Where else can you get away like that?

I would pay a $100 in advance on good will. They deserve more.

What else are we going to do? Take up smoking and gambling?

its not real ya know

Well, i will probably never drive any of the tracks in real world so it doesn't matter to me how accurate the tracks are.
If i was about to learn a track before really going there to drive, then it would be different case.

Does this mean that EVERY S397 track in the future be payware DLC, or will there still be additional free content provided?

Where does it say that? Poll created by user. Also, AMS sell their tracks for about 5€ a pop which i always bought as i thought it was a great deal.

True. But i don´t expect this title will make more 2 years. I think studio 397 will finish some rf2 features and move to their own title "soon"
Oh cool. :) I didnt know that. Brand new engine? ISI's physics, FFB and AI though... Will it be recreated to that level, i wonder. Anyway, thats another discussion.
