    I feel your pain.

At some point i need to have THAT conversation with the wife and explain why a VR headset is more important than a new sofa.

Until then, i too can but dream ;)

I've been fiddling around with my gear vr tying to use it with assetto corsa and r3e to varing degrees of success. I've been using riftcat vridge to make steam see the headset as a vive. It works ok but no hand tracking and the resolution needs some tweeking. Also I am using a Galaxy Note 4 for the screen and it's ppi is a touch low compared to the s6 and s7.

I am hoping with S397's implementation of VR this system will work modeatery well since my vive money has been requisitioned for "more important" uses.

Maybe, but I fear that those system based on a smartphone will always be very limited.

Been using vr (various titles) with 1080ti it's brill , max out with fluid smooth performance pixel level x1.7
    (I don't see much difference over 1.7)

I have no need to upgrade anything until perhaps the 4K gen vr's come along in a couple of years

Nicely set fot rfactor 2 VR
    Happy days

It sounds like a tall order but, good luck to you. :)

VR is quite demanding already; really smooth and convincing VR requires some serious fine-tuning to make the software and hardware communicate properly - the more complexity added to the process loop, the worst things get but, trying to do the impossible can be entertaining in itself - usually more so for the observers. :p:D
