I don't have any skill usefull for this project, i can only say a big THANKS for all people involved in it. Driving in this track is one of the best experience you can have in sim's world...

Hi there,
Wanted to congratulate for the track it went thru alot and now it looks very good and fun factor of driving is awesome especially the GT3 class
. I know it's hard to make it very close to the real track and tbh I don't care as it seems almost spot on. There are only minor differences what I've noticed ( not criticising just wanna help 
) At the beginning of the Hocheichen corner the bump in reality its not there (its a minor problem that affect laptime since you have to be more careful). At the Adenauer forst that bus stop like double lefts, before the 1st left the small straight is a bit longer. So to the double left you have to go deeper or so. At the Ex-Mühle the corners inner part is higher than it should, that throws the car outside too much(which also cost time compare to the real track) . The zigzag before Karussel is bit more narrow n twisty. Tiergarten and Hochenrain corners are more narrow n deeper. Again this is not criticism, you guys did an astonishing job sofar. Keep up the good work
P.S: It's alot better than the Project Cars version, sadly that doesn't have the right banking and some elevations feels not right. Also the enviroment looks like a mess rather than a track surrounded by forrest.

I've adjusted mianiak's excellent material settings a bit to work better with my hdr profile and added more specular reflection to the glass. The static reflection mapper is located 8 meters above the centerline of the the start/finish straight.
Wow. Really looking forward to the next update. Amazing work guys. :beer:

Tosch, it would be really good if you would also do the GP circuit and the DTM layouts to include it in your package. I haven't had time to get back into it and fix all the stuff that needs fixing and you have basically gone and fixed it all anyway. So if you wish, feel free to do so.

Just noticed something:
When I load the track, and then alt-tab to another program (Firefox) and then return to rF2, I'm getting a huge decrease in FPS.
Sometimes up to 50 percent decrease, and the framerate goes all over the place.
I then have to exit the sim, and all is fine when I load it up again.

As far as i know, this is a well known behavior of rF2 and at least all tabbed programs themselves...
When you switch (alt+tab) back to rF2, the FPS should increase again.

Before alt tab, solid 60 fps. After alt tab frames all over the place, decreasing as much as 50 percent. The sim doesn't become stable after this, until I exit the sim and start over again.

I believe the track at full details is near the vram limit of a 2GB gfx card. When you alt-tab to firefox, Windows has to free up some GPU memory for the browser (around 200MB, depends on the website) and you loose this memory for textures in VRAM. If you go back to rFactor, the game engine has to read the missing textures from (slow) system gpu memory (you may notice the difference between physical GPU memory and by directx reported memory in the video settings). When this happens I see stutter and a decrease in fps.
Check the green VRAM bar on the top left of the screen (if you press 2x Ctrl + f). If it's more than half way down you run partially on system GPU memory and should reduce texture details.
