3D glass is not necessary. Better, more detailed textures would already give a great result. If you can then add some 2d grass close to the objects or paint their bottom like RR did in some tracks they wont look like they are floating
I think for low level vegetation there are several good uses for those vertical 2D fins that are for some reason considered 3D grass . But whole lawns of 3D fins usually only looks good from low angles, and from higher angles gets increasingly worse, so you have to make it taller, and then it looks off, because you won't see it that tall in well maintained track of these days. Also if you have nice terrain texture overused fin plates for vertical grass spoils it. And rF2 terrain texturing is pretty nice as much as I have discovered yet.
Anything that save FPS is my interest Zero interest in grass it can just be a green solid before I care Track accuracy & surface character/detail is No.1 , for anything outside the track -most FPS efficient option pretty please
A version with a lot's of trackside objects like Sebring and animations like Lester its viable? (performance cost, and so on) Personally I like those details that do not impact on the heart of the game itself (simulator + competition) but that give a touch of "life". Offtipic, Sebring is missing guide reflective/cat eyes and other tracks for this game have it.
That looks quite nice, but in rF2 you'd have people complaining about the 'moving circle' (check around 0:43 in that vid), plus the grass rippling doesn't get affected at all by the rotor downdraft when landing which just isn't REALISTIC Anyone know if third party tracks have used the strips of 2d grass but with transparency fading out the bottom edge? It's usually the dark straight lines you get at the bottom edge of the grass that look worst.
For qualifying, instead of doing the full 14+mi of the track, they'll cut it all out using the final corner of the GP circuit and then do the full Green Hell lap.
In the laser version, you can put yourself in "race" mode, without AI if you do not want it, and make a "FAST ROLLING" (race settings)........ But your brakes and tires will be cold, so the first two kilometers will not be optimal.
@Marcel Offermans @Christopher Elliott Can you please give us some news regarding the NOS? When does the track appear approximately? Is the Nürburgring GP track available separately with the GT and sprint layout? How much will the price be? I beg you give us something .
It is my prophecy Once I have guessed (oh sorry I knew that) exact minute the first goal would be scored in football game.
And if he is right, we will chant Manta, Manta, Manta and speak of him in whispers. And curse his name when we crash at Nords. And ask him for winning lotto numbers.
There will also be a bug which will flip cars somewhere around Schwedenkreuz, unless they will fix it now because now I revealed it. Not sure about the Loto, those are often rigged, only the organizers can make prophecies there lol
The original time line was approximately 6 weeks after Le Mans. But I believe they have stated that might be delayed slightly. We'll be lucky to see Nords around the end of August.(isn't that the universal vacation time in Euroland?)
Now I hope Marcel or Christoph can or want to tell us something. I think we have earned as a faithful community or? @Marcel Offermans @Christopher Elliott
