I am running the Steam version of rf2 and I lost my sound. I uninstalled a few older mods and lost my sound when I go to the track. I don't recall the mods I uninstalled now, but reinstalled the ones I remembered and I still don't have sound. My searches on this forum turned up empty as to the exact same problem I am having. Any ideas for fixes?

    Thanks in advance.

What car/mod? UI/menu-sounds still there? Can you hear tyre-squeal?

The list is very long. All the defaults and dozens of others. The one the jumps out is SRHF1_2016 which I uninstalled before the problem started. I reinstalled and the sounds didn't return. Is there a way to run a diagnostics to double check the installation?

In steam there is some kind of repair-option for the game.
I think when you are in your library you can right-click on rF2 and see it there (could also be when you then click the very last option).

Thanks Peter, it seemed I ran something like that before but I couldn't recall where I have seen it.

Ran the file validator in Steam, and it found 4 invalid files. After the fix still no sound. Getting very frustrating.

    Save mod-packages and controller.JSON
    Do a re-install.

Yep, that's what I decided to do last night. I thought this is ridiculous, and figured the only way to fix it is a reinstall. Thanks though.
