Is this something new? Close the thread and take your feedback and discussion elsewhere? :)

you could always start a thread entitled " Skip Barners updated - Discussion thread "

...and then lo and behold you can dicuss it, if ISI read it they get feedback....job done!

They get constantly revived. I've seen old version threads above new version threads. If you have a bug report on the car, it can be posted in the appropriate forum for that.

The threads also tended to become something not really worth reading, quite often off topic to the release initially posted about.

I think it's just common sense, the announcements are made in the general thread, any discussion can be raised in the ISI Cars & Tracks sub-forum. The only downside to this reasoning is that the thread can disappear off the 1st page within a couple of days, so you do need to keep yourself updated.

that's the problem if you miss the post (and Facebook etc) then you may not know for days or even weeks that an update was released, again it points to an Update Alert system in the launcher for official content.

Tim could sticky the last (closed) release thread just so people are aware of the last one?

Yes, doing that for anything released in the past month or two would be logical and reasonable. Not everyone comes here daily like us freaks ;)

Are you asking for a system that scans your computer and tells you if you don't have something from us, or are you asking for a list of items in the order of their release?

You don't have to do much research to know that the vast majority of people ignore every system alert and notification they receive from any program giving it. If it is a case of those who want to be informed, being informed, there already is a place for them to do that.

Not saying never, but this feature is one of those that looks like a good idea, but it's time spent better elsewhere at this point.

I would suggest you post official releases announcements (builds, content, tools) in a ISI announcement forum where no threads can be started by other users. That would force users to make their comments in the correspondent threads. I would say it is no extra work and I think we win and win.

In that same way you could introduce in that or other equivalent restricted forum what you consider interesting discussion threads where people feedback is necessary for the game development as important admitted bugs that needs to be quicly solved.

First one additional to the devscorner link which is also very useful :)

Absolutly. How I wrote above "I see this as a additional comfort feature". A notification with a link to the devscorner and the rf2 download section would be enough.

I like the ISI style :) and I can understand that this has not the high priority.
Maybe it will be more important at a later date.
    Your decision :)

great to see you have taken it on board, but not ready to postpone other things. glad to hear that and hope it also works on other things that have been suggested as i would love to see the sim league friendly eg: damage tire model ect... finished 1st. Tim is there any way of giving us some kind of post or list on what is some of the priorities over the next few months ?
