No engine sound Formula Renault Essington v103

Hi,
Has anyone else had no engine sound with Formula Renault 3.5 Essington v103?

I'm wondering if I should re-install just the isi Formula Renault.

 

Tested on Essington 1.04 and worked fine of line.

 

Yes. we currently are hosting this event, last week on Nuerburg and we had a few people with no sounds. re-installing seemed to have fixed it.

Not sure about all but a few said they updated the mod in-game as apposed to downloading/installing externally. which seems related.

Someone claimed you need to uninstall all mods but I doubt that's the case.

If you're interested we are doing Club today at 14:00GMT and the main event tomorrow at 19:00GMT. announce will be up shortly in the league forum.

 

If a host is going to serve up content via the the 'Get Missing Components' feature then the vmod should really reference all required components. For example if the vmod only specifies the car component then there will be no problem for anyone who already has that vehicle installed. If however someone doesn't have that vehicle installed then all they'll get from 'Get Missing Components' is just the car, no sound (or talent) files!

 

Or in our case there are no auto-installs.

 

My problem was caused by installing via server that was hosting the mod.

My rFactor installation was clean in that it did not have the isi Renault 3.5 installed ( I had reinstalled rFactor 2 due to some other problems with BES)
