We need to find the reason, it must be something simple. But, what is it?

Like I said pages back someone tell me that never worked and I would shut my mug.
I doubt many really understood what I meant even.

For mine I would think if rF2 is forced so that it can only boot 1 rfmod with 1 DLC, then what does it do ?
    Does it CTD ? , Boot a total blank series ? or .... ?
I just like to know answer, maybe it shines light maybe not.

Like how many people get authentication warning tried my fix of using the STOP button through Steam then restarting rF2 again.
You can bet 99% when rF2 locks in that screen in offline mode they will use task manager to close it and the issue will just loop again.

It is like GTR2 3DConfig , if you start GTR2 and get the config screen instead ( changed video drivers ) and reset res it will not save the changes.
You must start 3dconfig manually first then start GTR2.
    2 totally different outcomes.

Same thing with rF2 if you use task manager to close it won't save anything.
If you hit the STOP button in Steam is a difference I described way above.

@8Ball That is my last Reply to you in this Thread.
As said, it is nice that you want to help, but i don't want to waste my Time with senseless Testing anymore.

The Problem is, that it works for you.
And if you test something on your Side, it doesn't replicate what happens for me and all Others for that it doesn't works.

And you can test it by yourself, what you want me to test.
Create a new rfmod with a DLC Car, disconnect your Machine from the Internet, uninstall the DLC Car that it uses and load the Series rfmod.
Then you will see what happens.

Maybe it crashes for you or whatever, for me, it simply loads another Car, that is installed, because the DLC Car is not available anymore, even if it is complete present in the Installed Folder.

And about the Question, what All Tracks and Cars is, you maybe want to watch one of my Videos:

An update, one of the programmers has looked into this, but just hasn't had enough time to do any work on it.

At least they are aware of the Problem.

I just hope, that they will fix the Problem as soon as possible, because i will be often at a Place where no Internet is available, in the next Months.

And i always only drive on the Nürburgring Norschleife with the Porsche 992 Cup, which will not be possible then.
So i can not use for what i have paid anymore, because something was corrupted with one or some of the last Updates.

And especially because i'm not the only one, it should be Reason enough, to fix it quickly.

I remembered something I read in the rF2 user guide. Don't know if it will help you, or if this launch option command even still works but...maybe? @redapg

    "RUNNING THE SIMULATION

Running the simulation can be done directly via Steam, when you hit the "play" button, or manually, when you run the launcher (from your rFactor 2 folder in Launcher\Launch rFactor.exe). If you choose the latter, I recommend making a shortcut so you can append command line arguments. If you do it via Steam, you can set the same arguments via the properties, using the "set launch options..." button in the "general" tab.

    The following options are available:

    • offline -- Will force offline mode. This will skip any checks to download or update content."

That won't help as that launcher no longer exists.

I own rF2 Complete Pack and Reiza Pack.

I did some testing this morning, turned off my modem, launched Steam, launched graphics configuration (I do this every time before playing the game since rF2 often forgets my screen resolution and starts with the wrong resolution) and then launched rF2. Game launched fine but when I got to the main menu screen there was a "authenticating" message on the top right corner of the screen and I couldn't click on anything. After about 20 seconds or so the "authenticating" message disappeared and I was able to click on menu buttons.
All my DLC cars and tracks showed up fine, I tried a few of them (McLaren 720 GT3, Nurburgring GP, Long Beach, Bahrain) and they all loaded fine and I could drive around the track just fine, but when I clicked esc to return to the pits I got a black screen, I could hear car sounds like if I was in the pits but the screen was black for around 20 seconds or so, then screen went back to normal and I could see the pit menu screens, change setup, etc.
Whenever I left the session and returned to the main menu again there was a "authenticating" message on the top right corner of the screen and I couldn't click on anything for around 20 seconds or so, then after the "authenticating" message disappeared I cloud click on menu buttons.

I don't have any mods installed atm, I find it odd that some people are unable to use DLC content offline. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Yeah lol sorry mate you still never got it.

No, I can't test it because my rF2 DLC work offline.
If you can tell me how to make them disappear then I can test it for you.
The only person can test is someone has this anomaly.

You said to me one post " then send me the file so I can test" to that effect, so obviously I thought you at least interested ?

I said all you have to do is:
    1. Go online mode so DLC exist then close rF2.
    2. Make an rfmod with 1 DLC track and car you own.
    3. Uninstall any other rfmods.
    4. Remove the all tracks and cars manifest from the manifest folder.
    5. Set steam to offline mode, inho you should not need to restart Steam or anything else.
    6. Install the rfmod through mod manager
    7. Start rF2, what happens, I don't know ?

    A. rF2 fail to start or CTD ?
    B. rF2 boots, rfmod is in series but there is no car .. or track ?
    C. rF2 boots, rfmod is in Series says 1 car 1 track and you can see them ? :)
    D. Other ?

The best I could do for anyone is to post a picture of what rF2 menu will look like doing that exact thing. I did that.

That is reason I never sent you file (rfmod) , I don't have ESP to know what DLC you had pages ago.
I guess I could have asked but again I thought you would know how to do it.

No need to answer, maybe someone can test.

Sorry I went back and looked found your favourite.

    Nords and 992
    Test for redapg
    https://mega.nz/file/ChJFiKbS#d1nnSBnokFMDtN4l3E1kjsHa48T5v3eLd0Im2uOUZbQ

So download that and put in packages.
Make sure there are no other rfmods installed so open mod manager and check and just uninstall them for now/
Copy your rFactor2\Manifest folder to desktop then delete the "all tracks and cars" from your rFactor2\Manifests folder.
You must remove that manifest or it will just pick a different car.

Then just go offline and boot rF2

This means the only possible content you can see is Nords and 992Cup
So you either see them or you won't.

    Uninstall and delete the rfmod.
    Install any rfmods you have
Copy back your Manifest from desktop.

So this what your rF2 UI should look like exactly.
I not saying you going to see that pic of your 992 but until someone tests how will we know ?
Users who DLC appear offline can't test this only you or someone in your predicament can.

Don't worry you have no all tracks and cars or see no other content.
As soon as you put the all tracks and cars manifest back you will ;)

@8Ball OK, this Time it's really the last Time that i'll reply to you.
It makes no Sense at all and it's only wasted Time.

I can only repeat myself: when there is no Internet Connection, the DLC Cars disappear completely from the Menu and the Tracks won't load, even if they are visible in the Menu.

It doesn't matters, if i use a rfmod or whatever, Content that isn't detected, can't be loaded. Period!

    And to this:
    I can only quote myself:
    Please read what other write.

    And as last one:
My "And you can upload the Copy here" is coming from and meant as an Answer to this:
    Me:
    You:
    Me:
Durge, as said, it's really nice that you try to help.
But it makes no Sense at all as long as you doesn't understand/believe, that the DLC Cars dissappear and the DLC Tracks can't be loaded for "some" Users, when there is no Internet Connection.

If you would have the same Problem and would Post a Solution that solves it for you, i would be the first one who would try it out.
But you don't have the Problem and so you can not Test anything that would help in this Case.

Well then what is the answer ?
If you try exactly what I said then what did you see?

Again I can't answer that I am asking you, please.

I know you had tried rfmods but you saying now you removed the all tracks & cars manifest.
I never got that impression, sorry if you had.

I thought maybe by removing the manifest it will force it to see the content in the one rfmod.

    Just thinking lol
So if you have no all tracks and cars manifest and you don't see content in rfmod then rF2 must be totally blank ?

    P.S.
Actually I remember now if you have no manifest or rfmod rF2 will bring up little window saying you have to install at least one series ...or to that effect and when you click on it rF2 shuts in Steam.

So my answer A. should be rF2 fail to start

Hi @redapg; I've looked in the past at the interaction between the UI and the engine for LMU capturing traffic and injecting low level data.
Let me try to dig in to rF2 and what came out of it.
I'll try to replicate the issue and then look at alternatives.

    Well... not much good results.
I disconnected the cable from my laptop (no network and did not set Steam to offline mode) and started rF2 normally. The UI loads, but it takes a long time to allow selecting the single-player option. I was able to select Sebring and the Oreca as a test. The track/car session loaded, and I was able to drive. Driving was OK, but the UI response was absurdly slow. After exiting the race, I am using Windows 10 and rFactor 2 in the current version (no beta option selected).

After starting rFactor 2 and in the initial UI screen, I was able to launch a session selecting the 922 cup car and Nurburgring by injecting three HTTP calls. However, since the content is not visible in your case, I’m not sure this method would work for you.

My results have always been the same no matter what.

    1. Click Steam Offline with no need to restart rF2, Steam or PC.

    2. rF2 boots exact same speed, IE: 14-15 seconds to click to start

    3. It highlights the Online window not the Offline one.

    4. Authentication lags for 20-30 seconds then shows nickname instead of real name.

    5. From then on it's identical.
