[REL] NextGenUI [Alpha 0.3]

Very nice. I'm happy that someone has decided to mod the UI. The old UI that rF2 used was a mod that the builders of the original rF2 used because it was better then the one they had made. Maybe Studio 397 will take notice and use your ideas to make their UI better.

If they are... they sure are taking their time...
We already have project like 'better UI' that have been evolving nicely for a long time now...
Some overwhelming obvious modification needed, that moders already did, often a 1 guy projects... and yet we haven't seen anything expect bug fix from S397 in the meantime...

Kind of weird, at least they are doing a good job on some front in the past few monts... but still, really doing themselves a big disservice by not implementing very easy, more visible modifications... but well...
 
I very rarely play this game anymore but having come across this thread, I must say, this is better than the current UI.. Bravo
 
with today's new rc version the nextgen ui no longer works servers screen remains gray
Please fix it asap thank you

I've been beating S397 about this kind of stuff - simple to implement, increase user experience by a lot.
They should be more willing to follow users feeback. This UI is not "new", should be much more ahead in development stage.

Again and again, too much enertia from S397... :mad:
A company is made by it's clients - those client demanding more are the ones who project companies forward.
I've been in both sides of the equation. Pattern emerges.
 
Is it possible to have the race tab (top left) drop down with the options "Single player", "multiplayer" and "content"? So there could be full screens dedicated for each one?

I can't remember if I mentioned before but.... could there be a race button on the "sessions settings" screen so you don't need to go back to the main screen to press race after configuring a session?

Just had a flashback to the early days of Windows. There were several companies who put out better browsers and especially better audio/video players than Microsoft. So MS's solution? Not build better software, but update Win95 (I think about then) so that 3rd party players were broken. I know there were lawsuits from the 3rd party folks, can't remember any names tho.
Just hoping you don't wake up one morning and find everything gummed up! Keep at it!
