I can only do garage at the track unless I am missing something ? :)

Example while I wait at the moment for G6 drivers, browsing hehe GPL I can adjust and save setups anytime.
Obviously that is 3rd party tool.
Would be nice to have this ability pre-track, say in car menu.

It's nice and clean, but here is what I will see, this is friendly (hopeful)feedback not - criticism.

How is that different with today's interface? If your wheel is blocking your screen, it's blocking your screen.

It isn't any different to todays UI in that respect. My wheel exactly overlays the wheel in the vehicles so it is in the right place. My point is the menus don't really take account of that, if you have it setup as a sim this is what you see, that's all.

Is there any menu in any sim game that takes account of that? :)

    Uh...

So...to cover all the wheel placements that people have in their rigs, we will end up having only a small strip of UI around the outside of the screen?

No nothing takes account of it at all, that's why I'm bringing it up. With this being the best software for a simrig (imo) it would be nice if it was the first to take account of it, as an option I'm not insisting everyone use a ui like that. No not a small strip, just keep important buttons up the top and to the sides for idiots like me who want it to look real with cockpit view.

    No i'm not joking

I think it's an exotic problem you are having and personally wouldn't ask a developer to invest time and effort on something I caused by my own chosing (wheel placement).

Ok I'll accept my feedback is entirely worthless and retreat to my exotic rock from under which I crawled.

    Not worthless at all!
I definitely have your same issue.

To GCCRacer: in a driving simulator the wheel position is not an option.
The wheel sits in the position it needs to be.

sorry I thought it was a joke,

option to put the UI onto one of the side screens would sort it ( if it's easy to do ) so center screen stays black, come to think of it that would also help me, ( I'm used to moving my head left & right so I can see things I guess ),

think it's more of an ISI thing to implement though not a UI designer, it maybe would be a simple thing for them

Think that would need a complete re-design of the UI...

Yes a side screen or god forbid, use all three! would work equally well.

Or you just lean forward (and thus move your head position higher) to look over the wheel?

Seriously, maybe there is a point (and I agree that the UI on a different of three screens would be easiest solution) but I guess what I find quite surprising is that on the most necessary/perfect addon to RF2 yet to come, someone would write one sentence back saying basically "great, but it's worthless because my wheel is currently blocking my screen". That's how the initial message came across to me...

Well I guess if English isn't your first language I guess that's the way it might come across, I thought I was pretty careful to say it was feedback and not criticism, thereby allowing the creator of the UI to set a value to that feedback. Pretty sure I did that.

Murtaya, I also have this issue and never thought of redesigning a UI to account for the wheel being right in front of the monitor, I thinks its a great idea! Although, this UI is slated for the FSR series I would assume all of those guys are using F1 rims so this would not be an issue for them.

It isn't entirely trial and error anymore. There is a WYSIWYG editor built into DevMode now. Just hit Ctrl+D to enable it.
