    Wow.

It's unbelievable how this UI makes RF2 feel like a 2014 title. I hope we are lucky - and it's going to be a massive job for sure - to get a first version that is solid and usable. Would be a shame if half the stuff isn't working.

This and the new HDR look really bring the title to "next gen".

It looks really modern and easy to use. Whoever designed it definitely knows about interface design.
I'm curious though what the "timetable" button will show. We surely need a timetable which shows - next to the current driver - the name of the team. Think about endurance racing with driver swaps. :)

It's so nice i'm tempted to use it as my wallpaper, lol. But that would be strange.

Unlikely to happen, UI component can only use supported functions of rF2, and those functions are nowhere listed so it's a bit difficult. What we have now is quite an achievement already.

For bezel correction, they could just make the borders bigger or not use around 300px or so of the screen real estate from the edges. It'd be a small adjustment, but easy to do

I was thinking the same but I don't recall my name being misspelled in the skippy. I will have to double check.

Would love to see different colors for sector times when watching others live timing sheets. Green for fastest/up on fastest. Red for down, purple for Personal best etc.. would be cool

I note April release is 'to the community'

I'm assuming this is the FSR community, so will it get a public release?

    Hi everyone,
First of all thank you everyone for a such good receivement with the UI preview, I am really impressed, and glad that people likes it. I didn't expect this at all.

Having said this, I am going to answer some questions I have been reading. Also don't forget I'm open to suggestions but take into account that rF2 UI has its own limitations and I cannot do anything about it.

The showed pictures are all ingame, the UI it is not almost finished right now there is still a lot of work to do.

The UI is going to have a timetable which will show the name of the team. Right now the idea is to have two "monitor modes", one prioritizing the track cam, and another one prioritizing the timetable so the spectator drivers can choose the mode they prefer.

As I said rF2 UI has its own limitations, this is not possible.

This is not possible or I don't know how to do it. Right now the only colors that the timetable has are grey (driver in the garage), blue (driver in the pitlane) and white (driver in the track).

The UI is going to get a public release. What I can assure you is that I will release a first version before the first race of Formula SimRacing 2014 season.

Yep, be proud because your interface is going to totally change the way RF2 "feels" for the user. I actually hadn't realized how much the "old UI" was putting me off until I saw yours. Yours make it look like the serious professional simulation it is.

Sounds awesome, the idea with the timetables.

I guess there's nothing you can do much about the load screens for tracks (they won't necessarily fit the overall topic any longer).

Personally I would say that track loading screen might be better with just the circuit diagram and a small progress bar...
