New Thrustmaster PC wheel

It kinda seems like a marketing oriented variant of existing wheelbase hardware with a new wheel?

Nope, its new brushless motor is (probably) stronger than current T500 motor which is not brushless.. thats why its not very smooth (t500) So new guts, still compatible with T500 rims tho. So the wonky horrible "quick release" is probably still used

If anyone is getting this please post impressions here. I am not very happy with my T500

I love my t500

The technical part seems very very good on that new one, shame the wheel itself look that bad. But, we can keep our wheel from others Thrustmaster and put them on that base. :)
I got TX and now T300, thoses are the best for that price, reliability is very good too.

I dont like how ..teethy it feels, other than that its great wheel
I have the T500 v1 and its notchy as hell when turned very slowly under heavy FFB. It's not a great feeling tbh but when in game its almost impossible to notice. I too am very interested in hearing reports about this new base. Would also like to know their plans for new pedals to hopefully compete with the Fanatec clubsport.

yes thats what i mean and i dont agree that its impossible to notice. Wasnt aware that there are more versions of T500s but i got mine fairly long after release, several years as far as i know, so i dont assume i would have the launch version

I think you can find the version number on the underside of the wheel base. Not totally sure what the differences are between models other than internal cooling fan upgrades but I do know that the pedals were updated. I bought the Ricmotech load cell kit and ended up having the hacksaw out a small metal post that was only in the v1 pedal set otherwise the load cell doesn't fit. This butchery isn't needed for the newer pedal sets.

Hacksaw? Good Golly Man(Using my best Dr Bones McCoy voice from original Star Trek!) Haven't ya heard of a wee tiny tool called the Dremel? (switching to Scotty for no apparent reason) Tools! You. Must. Buy. Tools! (guess who)

lol I was in too much of a hurry to try the cell. I actually just used the blade from a junior hacksaw as it slipped through a gap at the side of metal rail that holds the pedal and houses the load cell (eventually). This allowed me to make a very neat job. Probably not as neat if i'd used a dremel but hey, unless you remove the cell no one would ever know. Ya got me on the 'guess who' though. Any more clues?

The spaces between the words did not stay widely spaced. So let me try it this way...
"Bones! That's it.
Tools...
you...
must...
buy....
