Yes, I will run those setting tonight!

I have a Question about Ram, I went into the bios and set it to 2133 from 1600 is this the correct way to do it and should i check the timings to make sure they match the recommended ones on the box?

Do you have the optiom to set them as XMP Timings? This will load the RAMs recommended timings which are usualy the max ones.

Don't know what that is but I will have a look in the bios for that setting, I would assume it would be there or something similar.

Yes, it should be in bios, maybe under RAM timing options where you can choose from manual, custom or XMP.

Like Prodigy said, don't manually adjust RAM speeds and timings. Just enable XMP and it will set the optimized performance timings/speed of your RAM. It might be in the same section of the BIOS that allows you to overclock the multiplier of your CPU cores, adjust the strap, vcore voltages, and all that sort of stuff (don't touch any of this stuff, just enable XMP mode).

I set my memory to xmp and checked it with CPU-z and everything is correct,

Spinelli, your post says to use 8xCSAA I did not have an option for that, so I used 8xMSAA instead

My game runs insane, I was online last night on DDs server @ spa and my frames where in the 140s! with reflections on! Rf2 has a new life to it I think I will try turning on HDR now.

I know have capped my frames @ 120 in plr file.

    Beautiful :).

Yes, in my experience, 8xCSAA gives slightly better performance AND slightly better IQ in RF2 than 4xMSAA, and same with 16xCSAA compared to 8xMSAA.

If you don't see the CSAA settings in your NVCP (Nvidia Control Panel), then try in NVI (Nvidia Inspector).

    Definitely enable HDR :)

Inspector wasn't showing that setting, I didn't even look in the 3d settings, will check there, thanks

CSAA should be listed in the same place you select MSAA - CSAA should be part of that same list.

No need to. I just checked. It looks like CSAA has sadly been removed from the NVidia 900 series GPUs. Apparently it's been replaced by MFAA but I have no experience whatsoever with MFAA.

Perhaps it's a driver issue, I'm using 344.11 drivers and I still have 8x/16x/32x CSAA options in NVI.

In NVCP I only have 2x/4x/8x options, however NVI lists them as:-

    2x [2x Multisampling]
    4x [4x Multisampling]
    8x [8x CSAA 4 color + 4 cv samples]

8x Multisampling is listed as 8xQ.

I'm guessing the CSAA modes don't work with the 900 series cards since Nvidia apparently ended it in-favour of MFAA.

In-case you're looking for for regular 8x Multisampling, then choose 8xQ, again, unless something has changed with the new cards.

Yup, CSAA + Cv combination doesn't work with mine 970 too.
It crashes RF2 at start, but I didn't tried it with other games.

I'm still using equal amount of MSAA+SSGAA combination..

That seems about spot on too me, I checked a good few sites and compares favorable vs overclocked Processors and various GTX980s

Taking into the various account chipsets, clockspeeds comboc and drivers it balances out fine I reckon.

IE: From Vanilla Cards to 1500/1600MHz boost and 8000 memory overclock was low 11,000 to high 13,000's

Like I said, you do not lose a huge amount running 4.4GHz Turbo.

If you run Firestrike with graphics wound up and loop it a hour with no problems ( you can with the full version ) ......it will run anything imo.

Stable 2 Hour rfactor2 race would be the least of your worries. hehehe
