For those that have been sending me e-mails about our locations, I just purchased a server in the United Kingdom..I will be getting it ready to host to-day and put some thing on our website..

Sorry to post here about this, I had a power surge 2 weeks ago...and the protection bar didn't handle it...

SO...$1900.00 later... I have it replaced..but lost all my e-mails..and contacts

I just set up a server on the new box in the United Kingdom.

It is called "NRT European Test Server"

If some get a chance, would they be able to connect and turn a lap or 2 and report back yea or nay as to the quality please.

Thanks in advance to those that help me out..

So you wanted it short, then: yea ;)

Now, a bit more detail, good ping, 80 ms from Spain, and pleasant settings: light rubber on track, 50% damage, 20 mins practice, 10 min qualy, only race is a bit too long for a pick up race, 15 laps take more than half an hour with Corvette @Malaysia!

Tested it just now. Was getting between 19 to 25 ping, no other drivers on the server.

Added 25 AI cars and tested race, at first the AI had 100-300 pings above their cars but after 40 seconds was back to normal 13 to 19ms again.

    Good Morning gpfan..

I know we are not on our servers, all our equipment operates on Server 2008 r2 x64.

We are setting up our VPS's with 2008, 125 GB of space, and 3gb of ram
also they have 1TB of bandwidth.

VPS wasn't really reliable in the past for gaming. I guess that's not the case anymore?

    Hi dave,

In Europe OVH is very used because of their prices and offers. For example,

    50€/month , a real box (not VPS) in windows2008 server, Intel Xeon E3 1225v2, 16Gb RAM, 3x 120 Go SSD, 250Mbps guaranteed.
    http://www.soyoustart.com/fr/cpu/

And in VPS they have better options too,
    30€/month, VPS windows 2008, 6VCores, 8Gb Ram, 100Gb Raid10, 100Mbps guaranteed until 10Tb of transfer.
    http://www.ovh.com/fr/vps/vps-cloud.xml

OVH have datacenters in France and Canada.

Also if people want Germany, they have HETZNER with similar prices.

    Europe is different !!

No...what I offer as a turnkey setup for $50.00US, seems to do the job just fine..
I am hosting 10 rF2 Leagues right now with the below config.

It is the Server 2008 SPLA that makes it costly as each VPS must be licensed with Microsoft

    Remote desktop access
    125 GB drive space
    2 GB of Ram
    1 dedicated core
    1TB Level3 bandwidth
    Server 2008

    Besides rF2 it has enough space and the ability to run various other games one at a time;

Re: rF1, rF2, and a 32 slot TS3..I think one is even running a Minecraft server on there nights off for racing..

The folks that are using the VPS option, never hear from them..so I guess it is a good thing.. :)

My 2cents... I've been renting from NRT for over 3 years now. Lov'n every minute of it.

My server (F3_Fanatics!) reaches most, if not all of Europe, Australia, all of North America, and most of Central America. Bargain!

    Thanks Bryan...

Yes you certainty have NO issues with having any-one join your server, and enjoy there time there, Others report back
    the same..

The net code for RF1 and Rf2 is so strong, Clients we have running both tittles, never hear a complaint.

I returned the server we had in England, never had any interest in any-one looking for a European server, so after 2 months...it was gone.

Below is a test IP if any-one is interested..the same location as Bryan's F3_Fanatics server.

    172.245.211.108

Have a great week-end to all

Oh Bryan, you said you had lost our TS3, it is just:

    nrtservers.com
    or
    192.210.227.214:9996

I had tried to e-mail you back, it kept getting bounced back...
