@Marcel Offermans @Christopher Elliott I am aware that S397 has already made great efforts to optimize rF2. However, I would like a new effort to be made to optimize performance, especially in these areas : 1) AI (number, AI visible, details AI, multiclass, CPU performance + video ram). I'm talking here about graphic performance. 2) Day/night cycle, low sun 3) Rain (cockpit, track, drops in the sky, splashing water). 4) VR (CPU + GPU performance). I also want to be : 1) Optimized the entire graphics engine What is possible, I don't ask the moon. 2) That the options of graphic parameters are more extensive (So that we can very precisely choose the parameters according to our need and our hardware). 3) Improve if possible the function "AUTO DETAILS FPS". 4) That following all this, S397 sends us new graphical recommendations, but very precise, and exploring more than 3 configurations (low, medium, high). Obviously, I'm not asking for gigantic work, these are just ideas from one of the biggest rF2 fans. Thank you for reading !
I'm sure they'll look at that when they finish UI (at least). rF2 needs a deep look in other several areas to be refined and "finished"...
As soon as we are talking about graphics features, i would also add fog, water and oil puddles, damage, grass, debris and dirt particles, sparks and small eye-candy animations.
Dirt particles would be amazing! I dont like a Car that Looks like a new one, after a 12 h Race. The Windows are clean , the Bodywork a clean.....dont like that. Get Real
I never had the motion sick, but before I was all the time in ASW oculus, because my PC could not allow me to have 80 FPS. It was uncomfortable with every bump and there were some very annoying artifacts. I adjusted my graphics settings to have all the time 80 FPS, and frankly, even without the option "stabilize horizon", it's great (fluid and no motion sick).
I think that the problems listed here and the solutions proposed are still valid. I tag a well-known person from S397 so that the problem is raised again, thank you : @Coutie
