Hello mates I think I have close the FR75 project . So I will switch to my new idea, and It will take a few time . I comeback to my first love. I want revive personnaly, the glory of Group 6 proto. When I see the low number of download for the FR75 mod, I look than many people have leave RF2. But for me it still the best actually. Perhaps when I will finish the new project an new modding plateform will be available to host it ( RF3 or, Last garage ), we will see Even If I see, that the simracing community have a low interest in vintage Racing car & RF2 plateform . I can't bring me to modelise common cars. So I Like modelise forgotten nuggets never see elsewhere. I will bring here news and project update because here it's a small but strong community. the scope of this project the year 1973 in general the races lasted between 300 and 500 kms. The cars have in average a ratio Kg/bhp around 2.2 Kg/bhp which look very intersting for this period. A good compromise between agility and speed To compare a F1 1973 a ratio around 1.2 -1.3 Kg/bhp ( best value) and the 1973 911 porsche RSR is 2.8 Kg/BHP What is the cars list First. In my to do list The Alpine A440 , ok it's the first appearance in 1973, poor result, but first step before crush the competition in 1974 and after have a beautifull offspring with Alpine A442. Sorry i'm not perfect as a french guy,, patriotism obliges, so I start with this one The Lola T292 , We can't have a good crunch without the best and beast friends the english winner of the year ! Lola brand at his top . I have a good base with my old T280 , so with a refresh, that can do it Next on the grid Chevron B23 , I don't know why but I have alway found the design really simple , very angular but very agressive to be continued ....
I am very surprised that the take up for the FR75 mod was poor. They are great little cars that are fast and fun to drive.I will always prefer the older period cars and tracks, in fact they are the only era that i work in,So i hope you continue to work in Rf2 and period cars/tracks.
This is different. Here we have a better chance of a closer recreation (both visually and in driving terms) of the vehicles.
May I ask why isn't it in the Steam workshop yet? That's where the "mass audience" is today. Few people even follow these forums or overtake.gg's mod list anymore.
I agree most of the rf2 players search mods only on steam workshop p.s. if you want or you haven’t time, i could upload the mod on workshop for you (like i have done with lola t280 after your permission https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2739111457) p.s.2. Great news your GR6 Legend project
Hello Mauro. I have few difficulties to upload on Steam. I don t understand why, perhaps a low bandwith or antivirus software . I could try again this week end to upload auverhat track and the FR75. If I will not achieve , I will give you the green flag . Happy to see a interest in the vintage period
