New Icon for cars

    Hi guys!
    Is there any tutorial or similar to create the new icons for cars in this new UI?
    I saw that some mods already have them.

    You can make it with Photoshop (3D), with blender, 3ds max etc.
    x => your .veh filename
    xicon.png
    x-icon-512x288.png
    x-icon-1024x576.png
    x-icon-2048x1152.png
    x-icon-128x72.png
    x-icon-256x144.png

    that's the information that i found on the files.

    It is very simple.
    Find the car's .veh file
    See the first one in the list.
    Name all the rest accordingly

    Yes, that picture came from car_upgrade.mas :
    :\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Porsche_Cup_GT3_2018\1.25\car-upgrade.mas

    Forgive my awkwardness, but if I paint a car how do I do it to be the same upgrade as the official car?

    Your skin does go to car folder in seting?
    Not that mas file i listed.

    I'm sorry for the language I use as a translator, ... I want the icon of my custom skins to appear in the new ui, the veh file is not the one that is created when I add it from the game? Also, thank you very much for your help.

    P. S. For make icon could we use program like paint.Net and gimp?

    Some graphic programs can batch convert, so I'd pick the largest image and batch convert to the smaller sizes. I don't know if paint.Net and gimp have a batch convert capability.

    Is it possible to have/make own icons for a livery? though I had read somewhere that it was not, unless its repacked into the mas/veh file?

    they should make a simple rule to look for x-icon...png files in the folder, and if not present go with what is in the mas file.

    This is crazy. Why so many different sizes for one icon/preview. it's just causing more and more chaos and harder to maintain. Imagine the amount work and time if you have to do 50-100 skins just for a preview icon, not to mention the amount wasted disk space,

    Why not just have a big one then scale however the game wants?

    With all due respect to Marcel, I'm not sure the UI was ready for prime time, so why not release it anyway.

    I was very sure, very quickly and within the hour had old faithful back.
    Unfortunately S397 were damned that they did release it and I dread to think of the reaction if it wasn't released.
