Grey is what you see at night outside of the light of the main beams - rod cells around the edge of the retina cannot discern colour, but they are more light sensitive than the cone cells towards the optic nerve which can discern colour but are much less sensitive to light and don't work properly at night. That's why when I come home late at night, with no flashlight, and fumble with my keys to try to find the lock I look to the side as the peripheral vision (rods) can pick up less light. Try Sebring at night -- the bridges are illuminated beautifully and the new lighting engine makes it work great. Much more vivid and less dull than before.
Well I know. I mean greyish feel of everything around Not only near the headlight beam edges. It's like there's a very very light fog outside. Do you feel me now? ^^ Hehe
its been like that since i remember. I think i could get rid of it by setting HDR profile to none which has lower values for some HDR settings. Some values in HDR profile make it more apparent ,some less but its been like that for a very long time. Nothing new and related to automation.
This could be a daft question guys but I've not got my wheel atm so no way for me to test. For those of us running Sli/Multiview is HDR now possible without eating 25% of your fps? If not, are there any changes/improvements in lighting, colours & cycles with HDR off?
