No surprises there from a car that is already probably the most planted of the group.
I haven't had the chance to do a very thorough test of the rainy conditions in RF2 after the last update.
It's not the eye candy that interests me but the physics.
The difference between dry and rain is not the grip.
Back in the day our roads here were so slippery that they had less grip in the dry than those we have today when wet.
Granted the same surface wet and dry will have a much different grip coefficient.
But anyone who has ever pushed a car in the rain will tell you, it's not the difference in grip that makes driving in the rain so different, it is the different dynamics.
It's when you lock up the tires but a slight release in pressure won't bring those wheels back to life so you have to release the pressure a LOT, resulting in dramatically lengthening of your braking distance.
So you'd better be downshifting at the same time, not for stability but for engine braking, it now becomes critical.
Now I have never got that feeling in the wet of realism that I get in the dry and I do not expect they will have been any physics changes.
I will reserve judgement though after some thorough testing in the GT3 pack specifically.
Should I find that the cars behave like what I have seen so far with the sim, like in the dry with just less grip, then I would forget about conventional wisdom of how to set a car up for the wet and just set it up for slippery dry conditions.
In other words just do the normal routine till you get something more to your liking rather than go searching for "how to set your race car up for rain" kind of information.
Not directly related to your query, I know.

The real problem with wet is the great variability of grip levels and rolling resistances that each single tire could meet as it moves, so until a better simulation of such variables isn't implemented, wet behaviour will always lack something. I'm sure that once water level will be non uniformly distributed on the track, all the pieces will go in their places by themselves.

Are there any plans to fix the wing mirrors for these cars.
they're completely useless, all that can be seen is Armco and fencing
no mater where the car is on the track.

With the seat position at 0,0 and mirror adjustments at 0,0. They are OK.

Would you care to explain how ?
Which keys have to be used/configured ?
I read some mods do not support this but until now have not found one working. (advice then was Ctrl + left/right arrows)

In game look at your Controls screen it's all there, I can't remember the default as I've changed mine.
Edit: sorry for wing mirrors it's the seat movement keys + shift I think, with left CTRL/left ALT for Left/Right individual adjustment....I think!

    This is correct.

The left ctrl key + seat movement key pans the left mirror and the left alt key + seat movement key pans the right mirror.
The shift key + seat up/down key moves all the mirrors up and down.

    Thanks for the reply.
In the rF2 menu, the only "Mirror" is "Toggle Mirror" that I can find. (I finally made a Word doc of every menu setting :()
Seat adjustment has been the same for years.

Just to add to this, if you hold shift and ctrl together while using seat fore/aft you can also change the mirror size (zoom in and out).

To toggle the LCD mode for more info: the “enter” key is the default

    To change the onscreen display:

    Go to “Options”
Then the last tab: “Onscreen displays”

You can download more 3rd party onscreen displays in the rFactor2 workshop or here on the forum: the Wedge Hud is popular.

    BTW: Happy New Year. :)

I was refereeing to the dash board display in cockpit view.
other sims have the option to change the page for more info.
I thought ( LCD mode ) would toggle this.

Yes, Project Cars do that, but iRacing, Assetto corsa and rFactor2 don't, what a shame.

The only car i can remember of doing it is the Mazda 787B from MAK Corp Group C mod.

Didn't GTR2 do that? Or am I remembering it wrong? Long time I dont play it

Anyway it's a shame we still have info such as brake bias, anti roll bars, etc in message center instead of LCD, many cars IRL will quickly switch the LCD to show what the driver is changing them go back to the default screen.

Excuse if it was answered allready, I have not found the answer however:
Is there tire data out there for the GT3 pack? Grip data of each compound over time, best temperature window and so on? Like you could read with carstat some years ago (does not work anymore?)
    thx
    Stefan
