you are looking in the wrong area,go to userdata/player/settings,the DIR folder you created will be there.Anyone a guide for dummies to install these skins ?
I followed some tips I managed to find, but I have no idea where to place these DDS files.
I created a DIR in the showroom page, left the game, looked for the Bentley in the files where I see 1.00 and 1.01, but no idea where to paste ?![]()
Just use a lighter colour for as much shine as you want. I only did this to show you, I hate red cars![]()
Yeah, thanks, @philrob pointed that out too. I was looking at other files (not used to additional skins in rF2 - it would be nice to have a more logical way to implement them).you are looking in the wrong area,go to userdata/player/settings,the DIR folder you created will be there.

I managed to get them working though (Deutsche Bank & Rothmans skins)
The Rothmans has 67 on the grill, and a different banner from the original.the grill and the banner you recognize them, but this is correct, check the rothmans number should be 67, as the companion is 38

Issues can arise, if making your skin with Photoshop, merg your layers and flatten and save as alt_x.psd file not a .jpeg or any other file extension, then run the DDS Plugin to save it to a mip mapped .dds file. You may have to restart Photopshop as a matter of "practice test" after flattening the image. Might help. The skins for the vette and AMG I have seen all seem to be very flat. Like there is no alpha channel or shadow layer. Maybe I'm missing something.
I wish I could provide an answer, I simply have no issue at all painting it. The template is responding the same as all the templates I've painted so far. Sorry, I wish I could help but maybe I can so I'll take a stab at it. Have you checked the RGB layers, there should be 4 with 1 alpha layer, with the alpha level at the bottom of the list. The paint here layer should be at the bottom of your list, blending option, set "color overlay" to set base your base coat. There's plenty of options at that point, "gradient overlay" for example. Hope this helps.
