Released NEW! GT3 Challengers Pack NOW Available!

Studio 397 already stated that they will be releasing the skin templates as soon as they have the instruction manual completed. The new shaders that were introduced with this pack will require a different way of creating the skin. So they don't want people having the new template and making ugly cars because they don't know how to handle the new shaders. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Would love to see this statement from S397...

In the release notes of the pack you can find it and more details in the December road map also linked in those notes. Link is in first post so you can see if you trully would love to do so lol

Failed to see in the release notes where S397 stated they didn't gave us templates to avoid ugly cars...this was why I asked this.

But yes, they indeed stated they plan to provide us a more convenient tutorial for new shaders.

Final Notes
These cars are built with our new graphic technology, based on PBR lighting. We are converting more of our older content and yes, we are bringing more liveries to you shortly!

For painters, we are finalising the templates and the technology behind it, trust us, it will be a game changer for you! In the meantime, please read more on our December Roadmap here https://www.studio-397.com/2018/12/roadmap-update-december-2018/

Someone correct me if I’m wrong as I haven’t driven the Aston Martin yet, but from the videos of seen of it on rf2 and irl, rf2 doesn’t have to the turbo waste gate noise

If it's anything like the rubbish what was suggested before they can keep it.

And what is it that they suggested?

I didn't read through the whole thread. Sorry if this has been covered. I can't find the 911. It did download but can't see it in the index.

I didn't notice any errors when installing. It finished like all the rest. What is the 911 under in the index? 911 or Porsche?
Would check integrity help?

And about the NEW Bentley Continental GT3 what's new?

We have the next gen McLaren 720S but the old Bentley .Difficult to have a good BOP

Maybe you're a "chosen one" and know all of motorsport but there are others who know ...too bad.I mean that this game is a mix of new cars and old ones and the performance of a 2016 Bentley is not that of a 2019 McLaren.About the Bentley it seems there is an official license so we can have the 2019 model.About the BOP look at the Bathurst 12h site and you have the last BOP for the GT3 cars running the race :weight and restrictor plates....

No need to be a "chosen one" you just have to Google it. Have you seen that bloody old Jaguar racing till last year? GT3 works by homologation and BoP, a past gen Bentley can compete with current cars just fine. Newer cars usually improve things by making the car easier to drive, better aero, etc but SRO go there and slow them down to fit the performance target of the class so a new car does not mean it is faster. If that was the case the 2019 Aston, 720S and the Bentley would smash all other cars on the grid, not only the old Bentley lol
Manufacturers force people to buy newer cars by ending or reducing the support for older ones, this "support" is not so necessary and has been blamed for making the costs rise.
Of course newer cars are released to follow their street cars.
See how long the past gen Aston has been active in both GTE and GT3, that never stopped the car from competing and winning.
Even that old Camaro can still race in the series (and S397 should have given it new tires already so match the pace), its homologation is still valid, Reiter is still selling them.
SRO has the official BoP witch I believe is what S397 is based on. Local series or races can do small changes to their BoP table if the track needs it. But there are 3 levels of BoP made by SRO that can be used depending on the track (like one for fast tracks like Monza, another for slower tracks, etc). So just because one event is doing that does not mean it's something usefull for the cars to race in all tracks, they'll usually use data from their past events to decide this stuff
Also nothing stops you from BoPing the cars for more specific tracks if you want to do it, you can use upgrade files (they can be annoying to deal with tho)
