Sorry S397 if i’m too fast.. New developers guide for modders is now available, so take a look: https://docs.studio-397.com/developers-guide/
The documentation is not officially supported until the next release. Hence it hasn't been posted yet. A few people are taking a look at it for us.
Yes, i noticed that, but i wanted to post information, if someone wants to take a early look. Good documentation and tools btw.
Great documentation. Do you have a suggestion on how to reuse the TSO and other objects from new Portland and LochDrummond?
I was skimming through the new docs for track developers and a thought occurred to me - am I right in thinking that 3DMax plugin has become simpler (without material properties)? I'm looking more for a way to use Blender for track creation.
You still need to export with gmotor materials, but you can use the web material editor to set everything up.
In Dev mode, does anyone know what Sound Tuning 'CTRL+T' is meant to do? It doesn't seem to do anything for me and I think I would find it useful.
I'm already using Build 1120 and according to Developers Guide it should include the first official release of 3ds Max 2021 Plugins, as well as other tools and editors. I could download and install the other tools, editors and scripts, but I'm not able to find the announced 3ds Max 2021 Plugins. Developers Guide says it should be in the ..Support\Tools\Plugins folder, but I've just found Max 2012 and Max 2017 folders, and not a sight of Max 2021. I'm also missing the announced Loch Drummond (PBR Track) in ModDev. Is this track in an external download or it should be included with Build 1120? Thanks on advance for your answer.
Hello, thanks for new guide. Just noticed an issue with new Object Rotation Animation guide, it says: But this doesn't work (the object move at a fixed default speed, and ignores any <SPEED> value set in instance/file name). The underscore between <XYZ> and <SPEED> should be omitted (according to test and from older forum posts), such as ROTATEY0.1_Object001. Also it would be nice to mention reverse direction movement in guide as well, which is adding minus between <XYZ> and <SPEED>, like ROTATEY-0.1_Object001.
So far I have used all the PBRs for my things, and they honestly look much better than the old materials, if they release other materials later, it will be even cooler. I have used the web application to configure all the materials, I consider it to be much more practical and comfortable than 3dsmax, since with 2 screens you can see the result immediately and can correct it quickly.
