Hey I have massive freeze problems with the new Update, when i go to a Formular Master Server, i can play a few Seconds/ Minutes. Then i get a freeze and i must restart my PC. Can't do anything when it freezed... All Mods up to date, all my Drivers are up to date too. I have a Highend PC, so it can't be my PC. €dit: Only the Game frezzes, not Windows! But i can't close the Game after freeze
I wouldn't call a 955 "high end". (Although it is a good CPU, I love mine.) I have a similar system, and haven't run into this issue. I haven't gone online yet though. I will try later on tonight.
Sure, the CPU isn't highend, but i never had any problems with rFactor on Max Settings. Before the update, all was fine... I can run BF3 maxed out with smooth FPS. Never had any freeze in a Game yet. €dit: It seems like Window mode works very very good
I think I've had a similar problem. When I would first enter the car it was like watching a slide show, but eventually (5-10 minutes) it would catch up, or something, and I could drive. When I was driving it was like the video would "catch" for a couple seconds - the video would stop but I could still hear the engine running - the video would then "uncatch" and I'd be in the sandtrap. It would do this a few times a lap. When I installed the new build it got much worse. I uninstalled rfactor2, deleted the folder in mydocs, and reinstalled with the standalone installer. It was still bad, so I also updated my drivers for the nforce chipset and nvidia gpu. It was still doing the same thing so I started trying different graphics settings. I tried a lot of things but the one single setting that made it tremendously better for me was the anti-aliasing. I had it set for 8, and now I have it at 4. I can drive the car right when I get in and don't have to wait for it do the slideshow like before. The video still -catches- when driving but not as often and not nearly as long.
Ok, today i tried the same Mod on Mills Outer loop. It works!!! Maybe i get this freezes only on Malaysia... I will try it later. It seems like it works on Malaysia too, now...
It sounds like some others are eliminating the mini-freeze by changing the Sync to Software. I still get some mini-freezes and I am pretty sure I have mine set to None. I will have to try this after I get home from work later today.
