Personally I`d hold back on the track until I was happy with it but that call is obviously up to you... I`m happy to go with the flow on this one and see what you decide.
Yes, it gives an extra track. You will get some useful feedback. Be clear that you are still working on a better version that will be released (or updated) whenever you feel like it. Just ignore the whining and complaining people who think that modders owe any of us anything and forget that they/you are volunteering your time and energy. But perfection is the enemy of the good...
I second the sentiment to go ahead and release what you got under another name. Called it "NOT Nürburgring GP Circuit" lol. Put it on the splash screen and everything
Thanks for all the input. If I hold back and don't release it now, it would only be left sitting on the shelf waiting for better data. I like the idea of making it a fantasy track, so that's what I will do. I will just stick to what it was originally called, 'European Grand Prix'. I want to get it finished so I can move on to fixing up Searspoint, plus I want to get back into another track I started building earlier this year,,, I don't think It will be ready for Xmas though, I will need a few more weeks to finish the little things up and optimise it. Again, thanks for all the input, I really appreciate it
Sears Point! Cool. I can find higher quality images of real stuff and crop them if you want, like for the trucks and stuff. :$
I'm just curious. Was the ISI track that inaccurate? I like Lagg's conversion of it. Coukd it not be used as a reference? Of course I understand if inaccurate.
Working on some final fine tuning, I will use the word 'soon', cause it's taking longer than expected . But I'm working on it a lot with the aim to release it ASAP. I did upload 2 more screen shots to my PB folder a while ago,, http://s214.photobucket.com/user/mianiak/library/nurby
Mmm... Is this the piece of jigsaw that could possibly sit next to & join up with peclair's wonderful effort??
I made a quick video, it's nothing flash, but enough to show the progress. http://youtu.be/yQct_ZXFkNQ This is a very raw video from inside the viewer, its quite jerky due to the viewer navigation controls. But unlike the last video I posted, this one does have HDR turned on, which is why I wanted to post this. As I stated in the previous video, there is still a bit of work to be done so please don't be too judgemental at this stage
