[REL] Nürburgring (2018) Timing from Lap 1

    The new Update 2.22time is uploaded and can be downloaded as usual in the first Post.
    As said, there now are 2 Versions for the 24h, Endurance and Combined Layouts, that are named with
    ...Timing P and ...Timing P+Q, to mark in which Session(s) the Shortcut Timing works.

    Is there a way I can get this onto a dedicated server? I have created the mod on my Race PC but can’t use that mod on the server as the only way to install is via mod mgr ? Am I missing something or can’t this be done?

    You can use the ModMgr in the server.
    You only have to check the working and Packages dirs.
    • Working Dir: ..\rFactor 2
    • Packages dir: ..\rFactor 2\Packages

    If it still works, you can integrate it into the Servers vmod, that it gets installed automatically, when the vmod gets downloaded.

    They are correct as installed other rfcmp at the same time. The 2.22 version is next to the rfcmp I installed with ModMgr on the server yet v 2.22 timing doesn’t appear.

    I can see the vmod I created on my pc after installing the 2.22 rfcmp from within the UI. Is doesn’t show in ModMgr there either.

    Paid content is working fine and have run on the server before but not even getting that far as don’t have a vmod to use.

    Anyone using this on a dedicated server?

    If i understand correctly, the Rf2 server and the rF2 client are in different machines.
    If the Nurburgring24H_NES_Com_NOS_inst_timing_2.22time.rfcmp is in the Packages system and this doesn't appear in the ModMgr then there is a problem with the content.
    Check that the file is not corrupted (for example, copy it to your pc and install in your rF2)
    Sometimes the instalation of content with SteamCMD fails.
    Check if you have the same content in the Nurburgring folder in ..\rFactor 2\Installed\Locations
    Check that the mft files included in every subfolder doesn't weight 0Kb. If the size of the mft is 0kb, the installation failed. You can copy the folder of your computer to the server.

    Due to the latest Update of the original Track to Version 2.22/2.23, the current Modification 2.22time won't work anymore and has to be replaced/updated too.
    I will do that within the next Days and inform you here when it's done.

    I have made the new Update Today already.
    It is Version 2.24time and the Download Link is still in the first Post.
    This Time i also added the Lines into all GDB Files, that prevent the Use of DRS.
    If Problems appear, please report here.
    And don't forget to delete all former "time" Update Subfolders by Hand, from the Folder
    ..\Installed\Locations\Nurburgring_2018 ;)

    Two things for attention of this thread, nurbs has been updated, and the cut through at present wont work with current opt out. It was only brought to my attention today.

    It should work after the first hotfix with the following GDB settings:
    CutNextLapThreshQualifying=50000
    CutNextLapThreshPractice=50000
    CutNextLapInvalidDist=25319

    Basically they have to turn off the Cut Protection for this to work????

    Unfortunately i'm not sure if i understand it (limited Language Knowledge). :)
    1. Does it mean that there will be a quick Fix that updates the current 2.36 and 2.37 again?
    2. And does it mean that the Use of the Timing Shortcut will still work then?
    3. Or, if not, is there a Workaround with that it still can be used?
    4. Can you please explain, what exactly the Entries do?

    Today i did have some Time and so i tested the 24 h Layout with the instant Timing Cut with your mentioned gdb Entries, but that didn't work.
    Then i did make several other Tests, with edited Corridors, but also that didn't work.
    So i tried it in another Way.
    I added a new Waypoint Path, along of the Turn where the instant Timing Cut is and selected "add generic Path" in the AIW Editor Menu.
    Then i connected that new Waypoint Path at both Ends with the main Waypont Path, by using the normal "join as a Branch" and ran the "find Corridors" Routine.
    And that, at least in DevMode, seems to work.
    But because i could not find any Documentation about what the "generic Path" can be used for, i would like to ask, if you know any Problems, that maybe can be caused by what i did make?

    @redapg the hotfix mentioned is for rF2. The parameters listed will stop penalties in practice and qualifying (not race sessions), while the "next lap invalid dist" one changes the lap distance that going off-track invalidates the next lap (when you take the shortcut loop you arrive near the end of the lap and are technically off the track, so the game will cancel your next lap; the game decides where to start checking for this based on the AIW by finding the last corner, which for Nords is obviously well before the shortcut loop. So that distance parameter overrides it)

    Someone reported the distance override wasn't working, so Alex found the issue and fixed it for the next update. I don't know if/when that hotfix has or will drop.

    @Lazza Did you read my last Post?
    As it seems, i did find a Solution to keep the instant Timing working, without to use any GDB Overrides.
    So what you have written doesn't matters anymore, when i can do it in the described Way.
    And i wanted to have some Info from @Alex Sawczuk as a S397 Staff Member, with more internal Knowledge.
    Or can you definitly Explain, for what a generic Waypoint Path can be used?
    That is what i would like to know now. ;)

    Indeed the game hasn't been updated yet to have these new params.
