I have and old thruthmasters gear that is giving me little eletroshocks, as the titles says.
Is this a problem still using It despite that?
Also i would like to ask If they shifters, sold in china, made for various trademarks can be used connect directly to PC and be used with Fanatec Wheels and pedals.
Is pretty clear to me that they cant be used conected directly to the wheel base but i wonder If there is Will be conflicts If i Just assign these shifters in game using Fanatec Wheels.
Thanks in advance.

Very unlikely to cause any damage to the shifter or to you. Just an annoyance. I used to have similar with my G25 pedals, if my foot was touching the PC case (while not driving) and leant over to the pedals quite close by, I'd feel a 'tingle'. Nothing like an actual shock, but enough to be irritating over time.

If you're getting any sort of audible crack or shock, you have some serious issues.

You could try and find what's potentially (haha) causing the issue by checking what you're touching when it happens, and try different metallic objects around you. You may work out whether it's the shifter itself or something else that is sitting at a different level electrically. Though I guess it's probably fair to say we're likely talking about one of wheel, pedals, and shifter here.

*PS google immediately found a couple of other people with the same thing, on the TH8A. No resolution, but I guess no confirmed/serious issue either.

Thank you, Lazza.
Its like you said, like a "tingle" not an actual eletroshock like puting my finger in the outlet.
I thought It was for being very old shifter, forget to look at Google on that matter.
Also im not use spandex, for whom it may concern, and didnt know what It was before googling (you suckers) :)

Edit: btw, that means can i use any chinese shifter?

Forgot to say, if you are using multiple power sockets (even two on a single plate), try running everything off one.

If I forget and wear a Nylon orange blue tradies shirt I get tingles from Fanatec shifter.
If I wear a normal T shirt never happens.
Go figure.

Easy way to test abet with a longer lead ;)

Tingles off light switches is not static and most prevelant on ocean coasts ( salt air )
My relatives place at Maroubra beach as kids we would see how long we could press the outside timer button for staircase lights.
