Seems like your skin doesn't have alpha layer that controls the amount of reflection. When the layer is missing, I believe it is treated as full white which means full reflection, i.e. chrome look. Dark grey or similar would be quite sufficient shade for alpha layer. But this depends on what shader you are using.
I'm using Bump Cube Spec Map Add Alpha Reflect T1 Lerp T2 Vertex. I need an alpha layer in photo shop dds? or a whole other dds? right now I have a regular color map a damage map, a spec map, a bump map and a cube.
If it already had an alpha channel, do you have the liveries set up properly? eg. (carname)_01 in both the maps folder and the team folder, and the car material named as WCCARBODY? And the correct file name in the VEH file?
